  1. A downgrade from the Met too: http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/warnings/#?tab=warnings&map=Warnings&zoom=5&lon=-3.50&lat=55.50&fcTime=1434063600&regionName=se
  2. Latest Met warnings give us a chance of a bit more wintry stuff
  3. Well that was a surprise, a level 5cms of snow cover here, everything white, lovely
  4. Latest forecast though say no precipitation tonight - typical!
  5. Well they of course change with each run, I would say we have a fair chance with what we can see - that is of course if there is any precipitation around!!
  6. http://expert-images.weatheronline.co.uk/daten/proficharts/en/2015/01/28/basis18/ukuk/thfr/15012921_2818.gif
  7. Well looking at today, I think we may have a window between 6pm and midnight. 850's -5, dp's at -2 and WBT favourable. We will see. Ties in with text forecast - More frequent showers arriving by the end of the night, with accumulations affecting some areas.
  8. Latest forecast still showing a wintry mix for us, I would imagine higher areas could see some snow falling but that looks like being our lot for now. Let's see what next week brings.
  9. I wouldn't worry either way, (a) it is 30% chance and it is a week away, i.e very unlikely to happen let alone worry about!
  10. Ice warning following those wintry showers: http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/warnings/#?tab=warnings&regionName=se
  11. tweet from Ian: Ian Fergusson â€@fergieweather 7 mins W COUNTRY After Sunday's rain, Monday ushers-in coldest spell of winter thus-far, with snow/ice possible across parts of the region by then
  12. It also depends of course at which angle the attack is from, from the SW moving E/NE and we are stuffed, from the W moving E/SE (slider) more favourable.
  13. But of course Nick, getting the Atlantic close is not all bad, we get battleground events.
  14. Ian F has been quiet on here today, something must be up, I see Paul Hudson has been first to break cover. A lovely chart: www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Rtavn2162.png
  15. An improved Met outlook for next week too Frosty
