Been times they've had some interesting winter weather as well being a high desert above 2000ft. Record low temp of -13c which is colder than the cold spell we had in December when we reached -10c. And when it snows in Vegas, which it does every other year or so they can do well but it doesn't last that long. But it's far more likely to snow there than Los Angeles.

I was in Vegas in Feb and it snowed. We went from 20c on Superbowl Sunday to minus windchill on the Monday with gale force winds and snow. It didn't settle but still, an experience for sure. The diurnal range in Summer is lower than the shoulder seasons though where it can go quite cool after a warm day. Summer is say 40c but nights can still be 30c.

Wow seems like an eternity since I’ve seen rain that heavy.

About 3pm-4pm we had monsoon rain which certainly tested the new drainage on our finished road surface but it did well. It went on for some time and even after the worst it was still pouring for a while. A very active afternoon and with some good rumbles and I saw a pretty big lightning strike in Nantwich too whilst driving.
