  1. Be nice to see a night lightshow, feels like a long time in these parts.
  2. After a fairly clear day it's gone hazy now. Good job I've been working in the sun all day. All the bugs have come out now the sun isn't out fully.
  3. I was in Vegas in Feb and it snowed. We went from 20c on Superbowl Sunday to minus windchill on the Monday with gale force winds and snow. It didn't settle but still, an experience for sure. The diurnal range in Summer is lower than the shoulder seasons though where it can go quite cool after a warm day. Summer is say 40c but nights can still be 30c.
  4. Incredible cells today, driving from Macclesfield to Nantwich right in line with the storm. Trees down, power outages at lights, flash flooding, gunshot thunder and large hail pelting the window.
  5. The most insane storm I've experienced in the UK, driving from Macclesfield to Nantwich was an experience. Think we followed the cell, large hail, flash floods, trees down, power outages. Crazy.
  6. Popping off in Macclesfield currently. Some heavy rain as well.
  7. Very heavy shower over sandbach, causing some small road flooding. No lightning though.
  8. I'm off to Macclesfield shortly, hoping I don't miss any storms to the SW whilst there!
  9. The sun is back out and it's made it even more humid. I do like the odd days like this, reminds me of my Houston, TX trips.
  10. After the gunshots it seems to have calmed down a little. Still dark though.
  11. Feel like things are picking up now, gusty winds, cooler feel to the air and lightning and thunder.
  12. We seem to be on the outskirts of some major storm. Dark, rainy and rumbling away in the distance.
  13. Dark clouds to the west of Nantwich. Still pleasant sitting out though, yesterday when you went in the shade it was cold!
  14. Feels like we've waited a long time for days like this (though last Saturday wasn't bad either). A nip in the air as the sun goes down.
  15. A rare cloud less day. Feels quite sticky or perhaps I'm not used to the heat this year so far!
  16. About 3pm-4pm we had monsoon rain which certainly tested the new drainage on our finished road surface but it did well. It went on for some time and even after the worst it was still pouring for a while. A very active afternoon and with some good rumbles and I saw a pretty big lightning strike in Nantwich too whilst driving.
  17. Very thick fog here and the smell of sulphur is quite intense in the air.
  18. Wasn't optimistic earlier but this feels like the awakening of Spring. Birds are singing, grass being cut. Hoping we get a repeated next weekend for the Jazz festival as we had a cracking warm weekend last year and Easter was earlier.
  19. Yeah, went through at least an hour earlier than it said it would. Such a shame.
  20. Already melting quickly now on grass. Not even enough to play with the dog.
  21. Pretty much melted on tarmac now. How disappointing. Clearly Atlantic fronts will never be out friend in Cheshire.
  22. Well we got our covering buts it's very wet and about 2cm if that. Disappointed considering what could have been.
  23. Winds whipped back up here but still green out. Just a covering would do please!
  24. M62 traffic has been static for two hours. Looks like loads of Man Utd fans are stuck from twitter. That won't help matters.
