It's incredible listening to the distant storm whilst sunbathing still. Something quite eerie about it

Radar shows Nantwich could be a direct hit. It's rumbling away like anything right now.

Loads of rumbles still but sun has come back out.

I can hear a rumble to my south west. Was going to fire up the BBQ but might wait.

Feels less humid today, or maybe I'm getting used to the several days of heat now. Full sun after a cloudier start.

Seems much cloudier today. The sun is out just behind the haze. Feels cooler because of it.

24'c in Buxton today and under glorious sunny skies, just what was needed after recovering from the shock of finding out lager prices at the 'local' have gone up from £3.70 in 2020 to a round £5. Needless to say after 3 years being teetotal i'll be joining the rest of the crowd by keeping put at home during the weekends again.
After the dismal summer we've all had it's quite nice to have the last few days of the Summer Hols, and first few days of seasonal Autumn, end on a good note before the diurnal range begins to set-in after the Equinox. Only 58 days until Halloween now
£5 is cheap! Nantwich pubs have been £5+ for the last two years. I did have a pint of Wrexham Lager in Llanberis yesterday and was shocked to pay £3.80 a pint.

Gusty winds tonight but very warm. Quite the howl just. Rain doesn't seem as bad as was forecast.

Sat in the pub garden tonight and it felt warm! Town very busy because of the weather, good for the pubs.

Quite a nice breeze to take the edge off the temps. Up to 28c which is a tad higher than I expected. Taking full advantage.

Distant rumbles I think to the NW. Some heavy downpours today but no thunder until now.

Rumbles have moved on, clearer skies incoming. Annoyingly the main cell never made it here, we were in a bit of a gap.

The storm seems a little south east of Nantwich but we are getting virtually continued thunder rolls at least but no lightning.

Fair bit of rolling thunder to the south again, sort of continuous.

A couple of claps of thunder, a downpour. Seems to have eased now

Today is actually a much better feel than yesterday. Quite humid, but sun is out as yesterday stayed largely dull. Managing to enjoy some garden rays before any incoming storms later. Nice breeze too

About fifteen minutes ago we had an epic flash and bang but nothing much after. But it's certainly been an active one and look forward to some more months of this.

Heavy rainfall but no electrical activity now.

Looks like Nantwich is getting the dregs of the rain sadly. Shame so close.

Spot of thunder here, few cells popped up. Been an active couple of months for thunder here.

These big events are hyped up but in the end a lack of sunshine puts paid to the big storms.

Nothing will beat Monday's storm I doubt, so my expectations are low.

We have lightning and some thunder, it's distant but still very bright.

Seems like there has been a last minute dive to the east for these storms. More towards Stoke instead. Whoever is underneath is getting a potent storm it sounds.
