  1. I think the polite way to put it is that he sometimes lets his enthusiasm get the better of him. I'm bang in the centre of Cardiff at the moment and it's raining, if it's doing anything. Massive thaw in place at home towards the north of the city. Going to need some serious snow if it's going to stick and accumulate tomorrow. Another one in a special snow bubble. You must live next door to the music chap? Both of you seem to have problems with phantom snow.
  2. Surely you've been on this site long enough to know Jay is a wind up merchant?
  3. I guess the mood has turned to doom and gloom in here? Think tomorrow will be a damp squib for many but we'll see.
  4. It's not panic buying - well known fact that milk and bread goes off if it snows.
  5. Snow is steady in Cardiff (CF15), smallish flakes but heavy enough. Depth is around 4inches on cars, closer to 2-3inches on roads/pavements.
  6. Looks like that's your lot. So much for the 'stall'. Thankfully thaw should start now.
  7. Or you could view it the other way, with far too many people being overly positive. Everyone is entitled to their view, not just the ones who chose to shout the loudest.
  8. Maybe I am , maybe I'm not. Been here many times before - if it comes off great, enjoy it (I can't as it gives me massive headaches as I stand to lose close to a weeks wage), if not then you'll start to get as cynical as I am.
  9. Please, please, please, let that be the case for Cardiff. Been out not long ago and have to say it felt pleasant. Wind was bitter but air temps were more than bearable in a t-shirt. Seriously though, I get the feeling this 'event' has been majorly overhyped. Going to be a lot of disappointed people come tomorrow evening. Not too piss on anyones bonfire but we've been here so many times before. Ramp it up, induce panic and then it comes to nothing.
