This is from the local police facebook site: As you may be aware Kirk Michael is cut off at the moment. Emergency workers who live in the village are now working from the village and are providing fire, police and medical cover. If you need them and it is an emergency go through the normal 999 call procedure. They are getting out and about checking on vulnerable persons. I spoke to an Officer out there who described the 9 foot snow drifts an...d general bad conditions as terrible.

Yes Ballaugh and rest of west coast has power cuts, strong winds all over Island and lines down....no sky tv either!

It is about 200m, strange day on the IOM, west coast has deep snow down to sea level (on the beach), east coast is rain/hail.

This is the beach at Peel on the Isle of Man west coast - very rare!

Not stopped snowing in the Isle of Man all day - snow on the beach on the West Coast - we usually miss out so epic for us!

Bizarre in the Isle of Man - higher routes all closed, east coast wet, west coast deep snow schools closed etc. Windy all over Island with power lines and trees down.
