    Yay. Snowing again after an interlude of rain. Very heavy. Bring it on. Sainsbury’s delivery late but will let them of as the roads are shocking!!

    West Sheffield 270m asl Propper snowing here, with no sleet mix. Starting to settle where there is'nt tons of water. Wish it was landing on a frosty base but you cant have everything. Next few days look like fun.

    hi all lodge moor west side of Sheffield light snow for the past 1 1/2 hours. V small fine flakes. Don't think it's just drifting although a lot of that going on. Started whilst I was out about 17.30. Before it arrived looking south east over green hill area there seemed to be a very dense area approaching and it proved to be what I thought. Yipee

    Well!! Look what happens when you go out for a walk and forget your phone and have to ignore the radar for a couple of hours!! Yay?

    Lodge moor western edge of Sheffield 270m asl. Since checking the radar at 5.20:) the northern edge seems less distinct BUT it has just reached us with light snow just increasing a little. Looks quite gloomy to the south. Everyone look south and breathe in deeply please!!

    Hi Really enjoying your storm from west sheffield on the edge of the peaks. Never seen a storm with so many lightening flashes. Huge thunderhead with linear lightning trails when near the edge of the system. Cant hear a thing though:)

    Very interesting drift on the way up to stanage pole from redmires. Wind was deflected round the bush, into the depression on the right then exited vertically carrying tons of spindrift and had created the most bizarre drift I have ever seen. Hope this small pic shows it well enough. Epic conditions out there

    Just checked met office we've got an amber warning for tonight. Currently sleety rainy haily stuff here and not settling yet.

    Just checked the lamppost. Much larger flakes and heavier. Lots of gritting going in too!!

    It's here in west sheffield light snow small flakes. Lights of town to the east have gone blurry and disappeared which is encouraging. Bring it on!!

    Morning Tiny bit more overnight. It's just started snowing after a bit of a lull. Interesting radar for sheffield at present. Surrounded by an increasing patch of light snow but none over the city. Could this be due to the heat given off by the city?
