Island Singer

Sadly not much here I don't think on the Isle of Wight...Still, we've had some bangers lately!

I was so hoping for a sunny and warm end to August...Im over on the mainland from the IoW and camping in my Bongo camper for only the second time this year. On the Island I live just a few minutes walk from the beach...have I been on the beach this year? er...nope...

Some good flashes 40km to the se and sw of me in Ventnor IOW...bit of a storm repellent dome over us though...no rain either!

I saw some fairly large flashes to my east a little while ago...I'm on the Isle of Wight in Ventnor. It was raining but it's mostly fizzled out now!

Thundering here in the New Forest.....

Can hear heavy rain on the roof of my Park home...dammit! Oh well...will be able to get to work tomorrow which is good cos we are self employed..and it was pretty while it lasted..we dont often have 3 1/2 days of lying snow down here...

Still heavy sleet here...despite apparently being under the heaviest precip! *sulk*

Horrible heavy sleet. .all snow washed away. ..gloomy and vile...a crumpet day if ever I saw one!!

Sleetly rain in Lyndhurst in the new forest atm....snow rapidly vanishing but temps down from 4 to 2c...

I can hear dripping...oh well its not often we have four days f snow cover here 3 miles from the south Hampshire coast...and I did get to sledge! Woukd be hsppy to have spring now...the daffs are out up the road!!

Rain today showing the precip regressing away from us! Literally backtracking..very disappointing temps also up to above freezing and snow thawing again..oh well spose we were lucky to get what we did!!

Snow definitely stalling a few miles from here...:-(

Looks like we'll miss out by just a few miles...precipitation stalling and thinning according to rain today over Southampton. ..17 miles from here! Oh well..did get some sledging in yesterday :-)

Slow thaw here on the south coast of Hampshire..temp up to 2c..any chance of more snow here or will it all be gone by morning?.
