    The difference is earlier on tho 120hr ukmo has the low tilted going underneath the high if i was to pick a model to be correct @120hr i would pick ukmo over gfs but its a complex situation.

    First out the blocks for 12z set icon goes with uk high for the all elusive beginning of the cold spell. Lots of purple around the pole on this one

    Get the snow shovels out for ukmo and the Ec is flipping about like an old fart the form horse is uk high then to sink in my eyes currently been here all to often if it changes so will my optimism but i see a trend to keep pushing back anything that will deliver snow to my front door and after all that is what many of us is here for.

    So the trend is to keep pushing the cold snap back we are now 14th January for anything remotely wintry nice to look at but anonymous trend is setting in.

    Well lets just say its earlier to its previous runs. It even brings in potential for a slider and snow further south which I'm watching run by run for my location.

    So to recap gfs 18z op brings colder air in quicker early on then turns absolutely crap pathetic going forward all the good work undone hopefully an outlier late on.
