    Sunday/Monday will be widespread event Snow showers even a runner chance for all warnings wont be issued to Friday at earliest.

    Greenland high growing in potential this morning first signs from ECM Day 9-10 along with tentative sign from GEM. This Sunday & Monday looking V Good in the short term maybe a wee dusting night.

    Once again that can be a hit and miss for western coastal county's Ireland when the frontal comes a true greeny high almost guarantees nationwide snow for Ireland.

    It's the same old tripe in mad thread big Easterly coming blah blah blah then out come the historic charts 87 91 etc?? someone needs to tell them not every part of the country needs an Easterly for snow it's been snowing over here all winter? I smell a greeny high coming ?

    I'm not even sure it's been a strange winter so far with snowfalls etc.

    I do believe the second band that goes through scotland and drops down in west NI is intensifying. One to watch?

    Snowing away here first day but just not heavy enough to lay cant see anywhere in the north getting anymore than a few centimeters from this.

    I would say 3/4 of the GEFS 06z goes for some sort of easterly or Greenland/Iceland high best set by far.

    Its been pretty dam good Winter here two spells were snow has lay for 6 days 5-6 inches deep and another 5 snow events that lasted a day or more not bad at all still Feb to come.

    Some corker GEFS appearing in the FI and quite a few near misses let's hope for something as we go into first week of Feb something that we all can enjoy?.

    GEFS have been picking up a signal for a -NOA going into Feb & ECM was having none of it maybe the ECM is coming around to this idea with its last few runs.

    Yes was a truly special westerly for parts of Scotland & N.Ireland picture below from a town beside me summed up the week quite well.

    Lots of blocking showing up in gefs 18z Greenland highs and Easterlys but there was one that was epic not far of what cfs was shown earlier.

    There could be a good few hours of snow as this front moves in one to watch beeb showing more snow on the charts for NI than previous forecast in the early hours could be are last for sometime so if it does snow enjoy.
