  1. eew, a little more pricy than I was hoping, but the accuracy is what matters, especially if your going to share your reading online. I'm sure I can get my husband to find a good location and place it somewhere high up for me :-)
  2. I hope this isn't to much off topic. I am thinking of getting a wireless pc weather station thing, for my garden, do any of you have any opinions/advice as to what works well for the price. There is a huge choice on the market, it's a bit confusing Snow is melting fast on the roads here and the temperature is currently 0.9c It's all a bit of a slushy mess, but at least we've had a good slice of the cake this year :-) can't really complain
  3. If its any conciliation to us in the midlands, it's nothing epic in Luton either, just a dusting really. They've had the same problem with the amount of rain that fell today combined with the not so low temperatures.
  4. Really, I'm surprised I've not had a text from my brother in Luton and some snowy pics. I can usually rely on him to keep me posted on whats happening down tere lol
  5. That's more or less what I was thinking. Another temperature check is in order, but not til I've put dinner on
  6. I've not posted but I have been following the thread the last couple of days, some great banter btw. Temperatures here have gone from, 4.9 this morning to 3.7 earlier, and I've just been out again and it's now 2.1. So the signs are looking promising at the moment. The rain has been relentless all day, but there's definate signs of change, I'm hoping to sea a change to more snow like precipitation in the next hour or so
  7. Radar is now showing green over us, but I've just been outside, and nothing to report :-(
  8. The red dot is Hinckley. The 20.15 puts us right on the edge of the snow front. So close, I can almost smell the snow. A nice little change in direction would be nice right about now ℠⛄ â„ We'll just have to wait and see if it carries on in the north westerly track it's currently on. â„â„â„â„

    Snow for Hinckley
  10. You should be able to look at the snow radar, I think it's free at the moment, cos I've been taking a look today
  11. I don't know what others of you think, but the wind direction is pushing in an west west south kind of direction. I wonder how much influence it's having over the system thats been hanging over us all day. It was meant to be well on its way to Scotland by now Not that I'm complaining :-)
  12. A couple of pics from Hinckley at 16.05. Some accumulation since Friday, but not as much as I might of expected considering its been snowing since 9 this morning. The temperature is still holding at just below zero, but they should start to drop soon
  13. Just looking at the 10.42 update for Hinckley, and it's looking like we could get a good accumulation by this evening. Being a Sunday and not much traffic on the roads today, this could cause some major disruption for the morning rush hour.
