Light snow currently falling in Sheffield. Not settling though.

A mixture of light snow/hail fell in Sheffield from 0900 - 0945. Left a very light dusting on cars and some pavements. Now melted .

Still snowing here in Sheffield. Has been snowing non stop since 9pm last night. The snow is not currently settling on wet surfaces due to a slight thaw. But it continues to settle on the existing covering. At lower levels in the city centre and around the uni covering only remains on grass.

Its been snowing here in Sheffield since 9pm Very fine flakes but quite heavy. Have about 3 cms at low levels. Theres more in higher suburbs.

Theres very light sleet in the air in Broomhill at mo.

Just had a heavy snow shower here in Sheffield. Began as hail/sleet mix then became snow. Has given a new covering of about 0.5 cm to pavements. (Grass is already covered from snow this morning). Covering is now melting due to sun having come out. We have gone from an almost white out to blue sky in 10 mins! Had another snow show at 1415 but this did not settle.

Update from Sheffield Period of snow from 7 to 8am and 9 - 1030 led to a covering of 2 cms. Melted on most pavements but remains on cars/grass. Currently another snow show light/moderate not settling on wet surfaces but settling on the grass/cars. Currently getting brighter from east so probably only a passing shower.

A further snow show here in Sheffield currently. Not very heavy but its beginning to settle. The covering from the 1700 shower has melted.

Blizzard conditions in Sheffield currently. Started off at 1645 with proper flakes and started to settle, replacing covering from last night which had more or less melted by 9am (covering as a result of heavy snow 3 - 3.30 am) A flurry this afternoon 1215 approx didn't settle. Turned more sleety now - covering gone.

Blizzard conditions in Sheffield currently . A mixture of pellet type snow and proper flakes. Its settling giving a light covering, replacing the covering from last night which had mostly melted by 9 am ( heavy snow from 3 - 3.30 am gave covering.) Light flurry at 1215 this afternoon but did not settle.

Had a small snow shower around 9am here in Sheffield. We currently have moderate sleet.
