Yes hopefully I'll get included here, and then yourself when all the convergence arrives. It's looking good with decent elevation but now it's dark can tell the snow line has dropped further below here now as it's accumulating easily -
The stuff coming NE out of Wales is building nicely and catching up what's over us already so I'd love to see proper heavy snow later Sleet in chesterfield is a little worrying though!

It's so much better now the sun has gone, could clearly tell it's march today. Really settling fast now on all surfaces and is a good rate. Let's hope it gets going even more later when it should do

Pleased any solar heating will be over now. Slowed down for now but melting pretty much stopped. Currently 0.1c with a dew of -0.2 so right side of marginal again. Here wishing us all a fun and snowy evening and night. Hopefully everyone will get into the act before it clears tomorrow

It had nearly stopped here but snowing again now. No hint of sleet here. Did see some melting in the past hour which is a shame but that forecast from Paul still said an active night to come so we should be ok

We're at risk of clearing from the south west in South Yorkshire at the moment, the gap is definitely getting closer on the radar..... I just can't wait to get to 3pm now when it hopefully peps up again and the sun is going down...

Yes I think this next few hours into max daytime heating will be nervy to get through. Hopefully this evening will cool down quickly and the really heavy stuff will arrive on queue

It's slid off my car bonnet now and i see bits falling off the house past the window. Seems to be a very slight melt!

Away from the road and paths it's accumulating nicely and looks lovely, but you can see how wet the road is, it's no where near settling on there at the moment:

It's extremely marginal when you look at it. Here my station has a dew point of -0.2 and wet bulb the same. Only just in sub zero territory. We can't have any sniff of miller air getting in from this warm front...

Snowing steady here, couple cm on car and grass but it still won't settle on pavement or road! They can't still be warm lol. Let's see what happens during the main warning event time this evening Enjoy it though everyone, it's lovely to see snow falling

Light snow here still, been a while now but it's just not settling. Only on cars and some surfaces but paths and road clear. Hope I'm looking at a different situation this time tomorrow! I'm really nervous with excitement

Some pellets now, almost like hail. Snow did come heavier though and just starting to settle but it's still pretty slushy

Light snow here now but it's not settling at all. Temp up to 2.5c It's a lot further north than forecast that's for sure. Need to hope we get the good heavy stuff tomorrow afternoon then we might see it stick

Howdy everyone Been following the thread this past week but not posted yet as was holding off. It's been a rubbish winter with only the slightest covering right at the start of the Dec spell. So I'm snow nervous lol! Radar right now is agonisingly close to me but might not make it. Feeling a little more hopeful now though for seeing some snow Thursday and Friday

A cold day here, max of 2.5c briefly and now nearly -1 already . Could be some more fog tonight. Frost has persisted everyday this past week, such a shame it didn't snow as we'd have enjoyed it on the ground for a while. Whilst a decent cold spell I feel we would have all said a great one had we received more snow to enjoy

Yeah my car is well and truly frozen up again lol. Strange one last night then as you wouldn't really expect frost with cloud cover but something stopped temps dropping

Naff all here. Didn't drop below -0.8 last night and it's already +0.6c now and the sun isn't up yet! Desperate times when we're scratching round for dustings of snow in Yorkshire in January
