Where's the heavy rain this morning? I've recorded 0.0mm so far lol! -
None event here really. 1mm recorded in last 24h and strongest gust was 22mph lol

Hi John. I remember seeing the band being showed on TV which we got around 7-8pm but then the next warning was for storms in the south east but didn't really see the massive body of heavy rain coming up over us like it did. I could be wrong though!

Well as forecasts go, last night's was a massive bust wasn't it. What was supposed to be in the SE was so far more NW than it should be came straight over Yorkshire! Torrential rain all night with embedded storms. Recorded 32mm here! Just shows even with the high Res short range models of today we can still be caught out Another pulse of heavy rain now approaching from the west as forecast

Nothings going to happen. Not been this let down by the weather in ages! After a week of crazy humidity and hot weather, only us can defy the laws of physics. Makes the met office warning look a joke too. Terrible hyped forecast once again

Looking like a duff forecast for here today. Just had some fairly light rain. All it's done is take energy away. A storm to the SE at the moment but not coming this way. We were in high risk of severe storms today so a big shame after a horrible week. No reward!

It's been a really fun evening watching the lightning. Constant to my N and NE for a few hours now. Not a single rumble of thunder though! Are these the so called elevated storms? All seems to be sheet lightning within the cloud and maybe why not much thunder

Been lots of lightning but hardly any thunder at all. The rain must be so heavy it's blocking it. So strange. Really heavy here now again

Yeah we got a few of the storms and some crazy rain here. 14mm recorded so far today! Hopefully get something this afternoon again but the cold front looks close to passing soon so surely most of the heat and humidity will have gone then? What do you think about later? But I agree, the skies were great earlier, some brilliant cloud structures:

Temp has dropped 5c here in an hour. Bliss feeling the fresh air coming in Shouldn't be any issues with heat now for a few weeks looking at the model thread. I'm glad personally but hopefully something nice again will come along later this month and August for you summer lovers

Bit more thunder now and seen a couple of flashes of lightning. All the windows are open so it's nice to feel a breeze coming through now

Just realised it was supposed to be storms last Sunday too wasn't it and so this is 2nd on a row which has disappointed around here. I'm just looking forward to a cooler few nights now and looking forward to a more changeable outlook for a while, keeps it interesting and we need the rain

I'm just too far SW unfortunately. Chucked it down really heavy for a few mins but no thunder but it's now a decent storm looking to my NE. Shame but as long as it's cooler tonight I'll be happy!!

Nearly 1pm and not a single storm brewing yet. Main front is on its way now too. Would have thought radar would be showing signs by now
