    Is the wind due to die down or will it still be blowing tomorrow, should make for some interesting drifts if still present. I hope you all manage to see some flakes tomorrow, seems eons since the last sighting of snow here but I am hopeful for tomorrow eve, suspect it'll be a long night tomorrow!!! But no snow plough duties for me this year thankfully!

    Just seems bonkers when they all crave an Easterly (I know it is pants for us re snowfall) and as soon as they get a set of charts like the ones this evening they're pulling them to pieces, seems like some on the MAD thread wouldn't be happy if they were buried in the stuff neck deep!! Anyway, rant over, I think we may be lucky in the next few days, sure there will be a few surprises, hopefully both sides of the M4!

    You spend all winter searching for charts such as these and when they appear in FI (which is what they are) some of you dismiss them in an instant, you couldn't make it up.

    Almost Springlike today, mid afternoon, very pleasant to be out! Sky all cleared and temp falling away nicely just hit -0.1C. Be interested to see if we beat the -8C we had last month.

    Just hit 1C here, any moisture on the cars has frozen already, gorgeous day here, going to be a cold one tonight. I see on the MAD thread the snow/cold is no longer forecast but I must say we've had more frosts this winter than many before. I do have a hunch that snow will come this winter.

    Temp here now 2C, earlier heavy rain did have sleet mixed in with it. Not the most pleasant of afternoons to be outside!!

    Cotswolds look within a shout then!!! Hope so, can hear the odd rumble from the Reading storm whilst walking the dogs a short time ago.

    I dont know why but I did see some Cu build and just explode upwards, they were North of here and looked stunning, the speed that they went up was incredible, did think when I saw them that they may have built into something. Looking forward to today, am hopeful for a decent storm or two and hopefully some night time stuff so will get the camera ready

    Some stunning cloudscapes earlier today, suspect the main storm just approaching may skim to the West of us, can hear the rumbles and did see a flash just a minute ago.

    Just seen a lightening "flash" through the window, curtains open so quite noticeable but no thunder heard. Wasn't expecting any to be honest but see on the lightening app the strike was up past Swindon.

    Just got back in from a drive to Fairford, biblical rain, constant thunder, like I have never heard before, a lot of very nice C to G lightening. As I type this I am sat in bright sunshine still hearing the thunder, a 5 mile drive from Fairford. A pity it wasn't at night but anyway first storm this year so mustn't grumble!! A lot of roads are flooded in the Fairford region but coming into the farm yard here at home there was still dust to be found, very localized.

    Cu been bubbling up here for the last couple of hours, strong sunshine, light winds and to be fair feels very hot out.

    Hit 33C here on the station and another max min thermo in a very well insulated shed/building hit 33.8C, seems they are having some decent storms up North, currently 22.8C here. Do we think they'll be anything today, storm wise in the South West?

    Yes, depressing isn't it!!!! At least someone is benefitting from all this heat!! We may be lucky and catch a shower/storm today down this way!
