  1. On my way to Swindon this evening by train but when I was leaving chessington there was snow blowing around on the air all be it very very light but snow none the less
  2. At last I can report light snow at chessington was about to give up
  3. Back to plain old rain last 30 mins before virtually stopping. Oh well never mind always next time. Glad at least some have snow .
  4. Thanks Reefseeker. I'm also on lamppost duty . Getting a few funny looks from the neighbours across the road but hey ho. Been the same here for the last couple of hours with a few false dawns. Still sleet falling here thanks again
  5. Hi reef seeker hope you don't mind me asking how much has the dew point risen in Surbiton. Just down the road in chessington the rain turns very sleety with big wet flakes in the heavier bursts. Still a few falling at the moment
  6. Heavy rain in chessington but must be marginal keep seeing the odd and very occasional snowflake
  7. Going to enjoy tonight. I have no idea what is going to happen with regards to what falls out of the sky. Have really enjoyed this cold spell I can't remember snow on so many consecutive days. I was born dec 27 1978 apparently a big snowfall then. All the best to everyone on here. I have learnt so much on here in the past few weeks and will do in the future. Many thanks mark
  8. John Hammond just said amber warning coming for north London also said big question for south east as a whole but there will be some snow. Sounds like maybe like a short term upgrade maybe
  9. It's getting quite a bit heavier in chessington but has a sleety element to it. You can hear it hitting the ground.

Also I'm staying at the moment in Swindon on a work course and am supposed to be returning to chessington by train via London on Friday evening what would you advise. Would like your info esc John .   11. Cars freezing over in chessington. Grass is shining as ice begins to form. Glad we at least got something today. You never know fingers crossed for tonight.never say never
  12. I agree Daniel. I remember when I was younger it was raining and turned to snow. For some reason I can't remember I went to a puddle and scooped my hand through and toy amazement there was snow within the puddle.Also on that occasion it had rained for hours before. Mid 90s in chessington
