VID_20221210_231956.mp4 We got some icy pellets around midnight here. My pup appreciated it and thought it was great fun! It's got warmer and wetter since, and it's looking very soggy out there. Hopefully we.can.hold.onto the cold and have better luck next time. I seen a Wales Online article saying Caerphilly is being pounded with heavy snow tonight and an Asda lorry slid off the road up there.

Aye, it was -4c in Cardiff this morning and I think they forecast us 1-0c. The ice in the garden has lasted all day long. It's been a long time since that happened.

No matter how many times they're warned to stay away people never listen. Even when the wind is not moving the trees, there is such a roar out there! Eunice sounds angry!

My daughter is working in Barry today. She says the ceiling panels keep moving inside the building. It went dark so quick too. Bright blue skies just vanished.

The skies are clouding over and you can hear the roar of the wind. Still quite calm out, but the change is definitely on it's way. Hello Eunice!

Absolutely nothing in Cardiff yet. It is very calm and quiet out there.

Well, it literally is the calm before the storm today. Bright blue skies, calm winds and not a cloud in sight. They've closed all schools in Cardiff and most of the rest of Wales by the sound of it. This waiting has quite an eerie feel about it. Stay safe everyone.

Saturday can't come quick enough for me. It's unbearably hot at the moment, I think I died and woke up in hell. I have everything crossed we get a cracker of a storm at the weekend. Please weather gods, show us mercy.

It's funny how quick you can go off your neighbours when their kids run round the street scraping up every bit of snow that managed to settled. Is it unreasonable to open the window and shout out, 'Leave that communal snow alone!'

Is there anything else on the radar for later? Met Office forecast have me at a higher chance of snow between 2 & 3 pm, but it looks like this front will be long gone by then.

Give it time. The radar showed snow for me for a while and nothing was falling, then suddenly it managed to burst through. Seems the heavier band is working it's way across, you should see some at some point.

It's not just the beeb teasing us. Netweather have me down with a 95% chance of snow today too. ?? The forecasts have all gone mad.

I tell you what, being a cold and snow lover in this country is not for the faint hearted. All these ups and down every Winter. We never learn. Lol Fingers crossed for the weekend and that we all get a decent covering. Come on snow Gods, give us a bit!

Dry as a bone here, but brrr, it sure is nippy. I used to follow a local weather station on Weathercast to keep up to date with real time temps and dps, but for over a week the web page redirects me to Weatherpro. Does an one know of any good sites for local weather stations I can use? The Cardiff Bay Barrage one can be a bit hit and miss, and is often offline. I really liked the Bute Park one on Weathercast, but now it sees to be gone. ??
