  1. Looking at radar and sat imagery it is clear to me why this front has caused so many headaches, the shear on it makes it look like it could start rotating at numerous positions along it, therefore moving the pivot to a different position.
  2. At a complete guess, moisture field off the top Netherlands/Germany curling down onto EA coast?
  3. I'll give him his dues he's bloody good, excellent to have you in here KW, but it might be an idea to work out where your nearest defib is.
  4. Still cold here, snow hanging well in the shade, snow pole needs some real action
  5. Shes gonna have a little clear of the throat, ready for a big song soon
  6. Latest meto warnings noticing the North Sea having a little wake up post low.
  7. Morning all, -6c here in West Ipswich when i awoke, up to -2 in bright sunshine now, beautiful wintry scene. So today is chase day again, much more excited about this event as opposed to Tuesdays, maybe not so much for me but the rest of you Southwards. Im not in any way saying it will but this set up has scope for surprises both during and post, circulations cropping up have already been mentioned, also i still like the looks of the North Sea after the low goes through, i shall certainly watch any moisture coming off the Netherlands. All in all, enjoy the next 24/48 hours, and the best of luck to you all
  8. I only really spotted them on there tonight, have been paying to much attention to the front if they travel the same path for a big part of Friday could be some nice totals onto a nice bed laid down by the front.
  9. I don't often watch tv forecasts but caught the bbc tonight, my thoughts were that any where 20 miles inland on the central south coast would be my spot. After the main front it had a line of showers coming on to the coast travelling west along the coast and then off again, these looked to keep going for quite a time after the front.
  10. It's a new day, stop gabbling on about it, 2 posts today and both to have a dig, funny you think its you people were on about isn't it, yet there were no names mentioned. Yesterdays News
  11. Gonna have to keep everything crossed up here, think i'll see something, front acts a bit like a seesaw so have to hope it tips as high as it needs to at this end.
  12. For goodness sake don't hype an Easterly Anyways how did it go down there?
  13. Not the last bloody 4 I will admit the last few years haven't been marvelous, my daughter saw snow for the first time in a decent amount last year, she's 6. By the age of 6 i'd learnt how to build an igloo
  14. Awww straight Northerly gets my goat, watching every shower cross the Suffolk border and fade, unless of course you can get a belter of a wind. 06z toying again, i do think they know somethings there, they just don't quite know what, i tend to think its more likely to see something suddenly jump out in a 120-168 period.
  15. You said you only been there 4 years, you'll see, keep the faith. @Ed Stone you can stop laughing, im trying to give this lad some hope here
  16. Trust me, get a N/NE flow off the sea and Norfolk will pile showers in all day long while the rest of the country stays dry.
  17. Don't be so down pal, honestly the North sea is a snow machine when it gets going N/NE flows are the mutts for Norfolk. In my 45 years Norfolk and Suffolk have had numerous 20cm events. Don't count anything out, you yourself said you expected a few cm and got 1, tomorrow could be the complete reverse.
  18. A slight covering of a cm on most surfaces, everything frozen solid, excellent seeing reports and pics from the region, far from a bust, on to the next.
  19. Snowing steadily here, settling ok on grass in the hour, just starting to see paving turning................Oh darn it, lampost went out.
  20. Steady snow falling in Ipswich, the sound of rain has gone silent.
  21. Steady rain in Ipswich West, temp dropping fast and wind turning Westerly and strengthening slightly.
