  1. settle for that! just want dry, but yes deeper FI still
  2. if they mean 3rd one, think i'll pack my bags!, temps for next Sat, won't happen of course, not now after that ECM
  3. I know it's rubbish, probably closer to the reality though, GFS a bit pants accuracy wise, and with fergie saying no mild Spring, GFS to flip on 00Z
  4. Bring it on!!!!!!!!!! all eyes on ECM later in FI
  5. Yes, still happy GFS still going with this, few runs on the trot now, hope ECM follows later, shame still FI though
  6. deepest FI also on ECM, hinting at decent weather, GFS on right ,now not a fan of FI charts though, cos they never happen , unless they are showing low pressure, wind and rain
  7. yes, back to FI on models now to look for Spring , in model thread and whiners thread, charts been posted, absolutely miles ahead but chance of Spring arriving Sat 12th March, but of course expect this do downgrade to wet crappy windy autumnal stuff
  8. wish winters were still like this, prob last winter before the m/e (approx) very snowy evening developed here, went in to town (23m lower) disappointed as I thought it turned back to rain, back 2 hours later, snowfest here, just rain town (81m asl)
  9. agree matey, just posted similar thing in whiners thread! shame as we all know it'll downgrade to wet
  10. deepest FI but 2 runs on the trot now, bring on Spring! I live at low levels, cannot be arsed with farty rain and 3C all know of course these charts will downgrade to wet
  11. seems weird that cold air on southern flank of the low? chart must support snow south/rain north?????????
  12. similar setup to 16-17 Jan this year? saw lying snow at low level then, was modeled west but moved further east than modeled, infact a bit too East for me
  13. maybe a wee bit better now, as I saw heavy falling wet snow today, but still typical of modern times
  14. snowy morning, was heavy at times, rain/sleet as well, but now feels milder as less cold uppers move down from the north good to see falling snow, huge fire broke out about 1 mile north east of town centre, smoke billowing out all day
  15. 2nd march last year one of coldest feeling days ever
  16. Gentleshaw will be okay 216m asl, elevation rules, low levels suck
  17. friday even less chance for high levels, big mild sector modeled over midlands, another wet day coming up
  18. agree with that, but weirpig may see lots 215m not too bad, but I have been telling people about washout Stafford tomorrow, similar to Wed 17th Feb
  19. eh? that's the way it is though, I expect nowadays the Atlantic to dominate from late Nov through to at least Mid Feb, whenever it dosen't is rare and a bonus especially early Dec to mid Jan, to me is the most westerly/stormiest period of the year
  20. bit disappointing but expected really, we are an Atlantic island with prevailing westerlies
  21. feb often best, as it's normally the least Atlantic dominated month, finished well here 9 dry days on the trot, but another snowless one
  22. sigh, back to normal from tomorrow, low pressure, wet days, paying for the 9 dry days on the trot
