Josh, the models again and forecasts underestimated the rain again, umpteenth time this year, but rarely other way round, often gets worse heading back west from King's Bromley which was dry, to Rugeley/Stafford to the NW wet
Chris, at least you will be dry, S Coast probably best place to be off NW'ly, just cumulus infill making it dull, here we're looking at a full washout on Monday, then a mainly wet week
Umpteen times now when forecasting of rain has been miles off, yesterday was meant to be the north and Scotland, but was over this area, today was meant to be a patchy mostly dry warm front, not a washout
the switch should be starting soon, meaning on average sunny days are warmer than dull/wet ones apart from nights/early mornings
Nov to March without doubt warmer if wet, but feel from May to Oct cooler when wet over sunny
just a feeling we're in for a cool, very wet low pressure summer, wouldn't surprise me if May to Aug period was one of wettest on record, and all 4 months below CET average
Josh, models do have a tendency to over play settled weather, nearly always turns out more unsettled, short term forecasts for rain have been crap too, a lot wetter generally than predicted
