Well I've already had a 52 mph gust and the winds have just started. How far away is the storm, and is it moving through early?

Well it doesn't look like straight line winds, to me, things are moving in different directions. Doesn't look like a tornado either though unless it was very wide. -
No squall here, just a bit of rain, been windy and showery all day here. However what the heck is all that mess heading along the coast behind the main stuff?

Nothing wrong with a high over us at this time of year, are we on the southern side of it? If so do not expect the weather to be to warm, it's quite cold to the east of us.

No doubt it will change, but for now I have a thunderstorm risk tomorrow, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Sunday being the worst.

Is it colder than forecast, I only got up to 6.8 temp wise today. I thought it was supposed to warm up with the rain. Other than that it's raining.

Nothing but rain here, as expected. I'm glad some of you got some flakes. Whether sleet or snizzle.

It's kind of typical really, now the showers are gone the temp is dropping like a stone. Sill not cold enough for snow though.

Me too, they know in the mid term the models swing about, but still they look there and over react to whatever is shown. There really is no point. However it's a good read.

Have had heavy rain all day, looks like it's about to stop soon though. If only it was a bit colder, could have had at least a foot of snow today.

It's 5.8 here now, but DP is still up at 2.4 now.

It's also a few degrees colder here than what seems to have been forecast, just like yesterday. We had a high of 6.8 but that has gone down with the approaching cloud along with the DP although that is up at 2.6. I normally see temps go up with cloud in a winter type scenario.

Well they are getting a wintery mix in the midlands, but we are further south. It seems to be linked to elevation as always. So I guess we'll have to wait and see. I expect just rain here, but I'm right near the coast really.

Looks like there's a band of showers/rain moving down the country now. Is this what was supposed to happen over night, or another feature.

Temp went down to 0.9 over night, the coldest we've had. Temp has risen to 6.6 so far today nice and sunny. Wind seems to be nnw which is why the shower are staying east.

A high of 10, your very lucky I have a high of 6.6 so far today. Not had any frost yet though, unless it's melted before I done the school run.

The closer it's getting to me, the heavier that rain heading for here is looking. Must be orographic lift from the north downs.

Yep it was forecast this morning, very heavy rain for the SE coast. Must be slightly further north than thought though as it didn't hit the SW at all in the forecast. and that other stuff north of the more south stuff, wasn't in the forecast I saw, that was showers, not a band of rain.

Temp went right up to 10 before starting to head back down again here. Originally gt down to 7.4, from a high of 11.1. It's now 9.1 and droping.
