What are the chances that therese earthquakes are part of the reason for the big drops in extent. Surely water would amplify the effect and make any earthquake hit the ice harder and force some fracturing and losses on the extremes whilst any fractures near the pole would probably just refreeze in the current temperatures. Just something that I was wondering.
