i stopped watching snooker when Jimmy choked the final against Stephen Hendry i think was 1994? not watched it since in fact i think i retired my cue back then also not played since.

It could have been 1992 or 1994.  In 1992 Jimmy played brilliantly to go 12-6 and 14-8 up, but then the winning post got to him and he lost 10 consecutive frames, missing a number of critical frame balls.  But you're more likely to be remembering 1994, when both players played well under pressure but sporadically missed easy balls, taking it to 17-17, and Jimmy looked set to win in the decider but fluffed an easy black off its spot, and Stephen cleared up to win.

yep was definitely 1994..i was living in new cross at the time and i moved out of London later that year that was when i stopped playing.
