  1. Yes, some warmth would definitely be welcome. Don't mind the rain, as long as we get warm sunshine too. Unfortunately, since 2007 it seems, the weather tends to get stuck in long very dry or very wet periods. I wonder what happened to our changeable weather, where we might get some frontal rainfall once a week, a few showers/storms with ridges giving fine weather in between?
  2. My seedlings are very slow with all the cloud we've had in May. Very glad of the rain but need more sun too.
  3. Didn't think so, all looks a bit messy and it isn't warm at all. If it was 10C warmer then could be a very different story.
  4. Met Office forecast was well out today lol, said fine and warm until late....er, no.
  5. Steady rain for an hour here now, looks like our region is in for another soaking. No complaints apart from the timing of it and the allotment has perked up nicely!
  6. Steady rain here now for an hour, looks like another soaking coming up for this part of the UK. Is there thundery potential? Doesn't look like it to me but there are far more experienced people on here.
  7. Lovely rain yesterday, hours of it and recorded over 30mm here. Some sunny spells earlier here but now gloomy again, zzz. At least the wind isn't howling. More rain later, I very much doubt it'll be thundery but who knows.
  8. Lots of rain here through the night, around 20mm. Looks like plenty more to come later.
  9. Mild this evening, there have been a few bursts of rain and the wind has finally calmed down. 17C currently. Looking forward to tomorrow, will be interesting to see just how much rain we get and if there are any thunderstorms.
  10. A lovely 24C here now, some sunshine, some passing cloud but spoilt a bit by that wind which is getting stronger, if anything. It's making potting up my tomatoes on the allotment very annoying as compost is blowing everywhere. Would be nice to have a sunny and CALM day for once! I fervently hope that this year is not going the same way as recent years with the ever present, howling wind, no matter what direction it's coming from.....
  11. Better than expected here today, the horrid grey grot is clearing rapidly allowing lovely warm sunshine, it's already 21C. Shame about the wind though, again.
  12. Sky clearing here, lovely and warm sunshine developing, shame that stupid wind is still howling. 21C currently.
  13. 19C here already! Lovely and warm and the sun is breaking through the grey grot with some blue sky visible. How nice would it be if that cloud clears, properly warm. Tomorrow looks very wet for some of us, models not agreeing on the same areas copping the worst.
  14. Bit early to be worrying about summer, isn't it? So the next 10 days or so aren't looking particularly pleasant, fair enough, but Spring by and large has been decent with plenty of sunshine and above average temperatures with much less rain than normal, continuing on from a dry winter. It had to change at some point...hopefully won't last too long.
  15. Yep, quite wet here this morning. Currently 14C with a moderate S'ly breeze.
  16. 20C here with sunny spells, can see a shower in the distance but dry here after this morning.
  17. Yes I agree that we need a lot of rain. I'm hoping it will be decent rain and not useless drizzle blowing about in the wind, with cold temperatures. If it's warm and showery/thundery, fine
  18. Looking like the weather will take a real downturn next week if models are to be believed, plenty of rain or showers and not very warm. Hopefully some decent convective activity to come at least and some sun to raise temperatures. Can't be doing cold and wet at this time of year.
  19. Yes, a couple of nice warm days here but then it quickly turned to utter garbage, with decent sunshine not making an appearance until the third week of July
  20. Hopefully a much better June to last year here, which was the dullest on record and wet. Some proper 80's-90's style storms would be very welcome with a lot of warm-hot sunny weather. No strong winds, unnecessary cloud, etc, please! Had a belly full of that crap since 2006.
  21. Yep, same same. Would be nice to have an equal length of warm sun here as the vile cold gloom currently. ECM best for warmth and longevity thereof.
  22. Oh yippee, another day of North Sea cold and gloomy rubbish. On satellite, everywhere to our W, S and E is sunny. Might break up soon, with any luck...
