  8. @Mr Frost sometimes you gotta do what ya gotta do. And did still manage to find the highest part of the area and exposed to the wind. but a newly refurbished steading so no trouble with heating it during winter months. Still planning for the ultimate move one day 300m asl in the Highlands.. And in weather news over night rain has cleared and some sunshine has developed but looks only temporary as more rain incoming for this afternoon. At least the footie is back on and FA Cup final later..
  9. Well we got to the beach and it was packed, no social distancing going on at all, so we turned around and came back and went to the park then pub instead. Weather has been nice. Not overly hot and always that wind taking the edge off of the temperature. Tomorrow looks like a wash out and no real sign of any hot weather in the next few weeks. Will soon be turning my thoughts to the coming Autumn and then Winter when the hunt for the white gold starts.
  10. Sun is out... Time to hit the beach. Cruden Bay here we come.. shame its only a one day wonder.
  11. Just a quick thought what with all this covid lock down stuff and the 3 or 4 months that the climate has had a break from the rubbish human kind bung into the atmosphere etc... could it have an effect on the coming seasons?? Summer has definitely seemed cooler than the last few. Could the climate respond that quickly? No idea myself but interested to know if anybody else here has any thoughts on it.
  12. After a very wet night and early morning its dried out and the sun is actually trying to break through the clouds as I type. Very windy over night and that has continued today. How long till we find out how much snaw we are all getting this winter?? Do i dare go into the mad house and ask?? Might be a bit early for that fun and games tho..
  13. Thats good to hear he doing well.. shame about the other stuff tho.. who's gonna dig the snaw out this winter??
  14. Definitely not a day for hanging my undercrackers out on the line. Wind has already picked up somewhat in the last few hours so tomorrow will be very interesting indeed..
  15. Dreadful day from start to finish.. in fact the weather right now is by far the wettest and windiest its been in a long time.. its like mid November more than mid summer
  16. @mardatha just thought to ask you how the hubby is. I seem to remember he had major surgery before the madness of 2020. Hope all is well.
