  1. Imagine Perth and Dundee buried by that...i shall await my Amber warning and then watch as nothing happens..❄❄
  2. So today Mrs Mair Snaw decided to test out one of granny Mair Snaw's old school recipes... chocolate sponge using no actual eggs and no butter... instead using plain old Mayonnaise.. yes Mayonnaise.. with a tub of mayo in Aldi being 49p and butter £2 and eggs £1.50 for 6, it olny cost with other ingredients added £1.79... here is the finished cake.. all of the Mair Snaw children agree its the best cake they ever had.
  3. Well the mood was upbeat yesterday in the mad house and wx weather even had snaw for me next week.. im not convinced and wont be until its t24 away and even then with my location i still wont trust it.. Not checked in the mad house today so no idea if its up or down.. but I've got my tin hat at the ready.. And as for today best way to describe it without getting a lifetime ban would be YUK....
  4. Wet and windy start this morning, but its improved, been over the Mad house and it seems something is stirring in the output.. Meanwhile i found something that @shuggee might like stirring.. and only 50p each...
  5. Looks like it could get a bit windy for some of us overnight and into to tomorrow... A very light frost visible here this morning, currently calm and dry.
  6. Happy new year from a snawy Scotland.... Lang may yer lum reek.. 20221231_225012.mp4
  7. Bins at midnight.. Im actually very impressed with this snaw tonight.. probably getting close to the best out of the 3 events so far this winter..
  8. Rather heavy snaw here now.. wonderful to watch..❄❄ 20221231_214355.mp4
  9. Snaw on... thats 3 snaw falls in the first month of winter in Perth yes stained glass windowing Perth... 20221231_213215.mp4
  10. Radar says snaw, weather app says snaw...the actual weather says na snaw... good luck to those in the warning area tonight. ❄❄ Lang may yer lum reek... see you all in 2023
  11. Set out at 8am to Aberdeenshire in what i would call difficult driving conditions... that improved upon arriving back in inverurie.. the sun even made an appearance. A few heavy showers on the way back and a large disagreement with Mcdonalds staff didnt spoil what has turned out to be a wonderful day. A wee celebration with the opening of one of my Christmas gifts..
  12. Well after 20 mins of looking in the mad house I've still no idea whats going on as we go into new year.. New one on me is what they are calling "polar night jet" no idea what that is..
  13. Stuck at 1c virtually the entire day.. still snaw on the ground and despite the radar saying nothing doing there is what my youngest described as dust falling from the sky.. not been in the mad house in a few days so I've no idea whats coming up over the next few weeks..
  14. Roads were ok.. could see that some folk had struggled as tyres tacks going off at all sorts of different angles most stopped at the pavement.... A really heavy period of snaw that suddenly stopped like a switch had been flicked.. now the dreaded dripping and drizzle.. oh well been a good morning while its lasted. And a pleasant surprise considering my location so i will take it..
  15. Very nice walk to the shop for milk. Didnt need it but thought might as well go for a walk while the snaw is on.. would say 2cm so not bad at all for Perth. Got to go to the dump in a bit as have a car full of Christmas rubbish so will see what the roads are like as we are meant to be going into town for a family meal in a few hours..
  16. very heavy snaw here now.. big flakes so must be close to marginal. Weather app has it as snaw right upto 2pm but im thinking rain by 12pm as radar shows the blue/green getting closer.
  17. Snaw ❄❄❄ everything is white and the snaw is heavy.. shame is to be washed away. Still nice to see..
  18. Just been out to put rubbish in the car for the dump and it was definitely sleety... and upon checking the windscreen some icy splodges in the rain... does that count as snaw? And a white xmas?
  19. Well its wet and 5c here today... not exactly the weather i was hoping for over the festive period.. i shall wait for boxing day and see what it brings but im not holding out any real hope for that one either.. Anyways you wonderful guys and girls... have a wonderful Xmas and see you on the other side
  20. Well thats winter over then... well only if you believe what you read in the mad house... i think they are all about to jump off the model watching cliff...
