In the short term Summer arrives in Scotland in style ....... For one day only...

So, the other day I was talking about the Power of Positive Thinking ........ Well....Forget that.... It's a load of p#%h.... It disnae work and now next week isnae gonna be Summery at all... No paddling pool...No BBQ ..... In fact... Probably unsettled and rather similar to what we've had.... Summers not for Scotland this year folks

You could argue that it's still LAST Autumn up here in West Scotland!!!

Oh dear Frosty... I think I may have to change my name to Dr (G)Loom the weather has been so poor here... I wish there was an opportunity for warmer and settled weather to ' return ' here.... It's been anything but Im afraid, for me, this Summer so far has been very much a jam tomorrow scenario!

Amazing really... Was it April or May that Edinburgh virtually had nil rain for the month? iUn fact, I'm sure I just heard that Edinburgh had as much rain in June as they've had January to end May!!!

So..... I should really just copy and paste my post re Tuesday's weather ....Different day... Same s#$t springs to mind.. Im feeling almost as gloomy as the weather!! Im sorry but pishin rain and gloomy dull coupled with 12c TWICE!! in a week in High Summer disnae float my boat........

Out of interest, what's the forecast for the Hurricane Season this year? Perhaps an early start could have some influence on the rest of our Summer?

Whilst folk on the Mod having being waxing lyrical about heatwaves and long settled spells... This is what I see. Now, occasionally a wee day with a sunny interval will pop up.... Only for it to disappear when I look later on!! Im not suggesting for one minute that Summers over etc.... But it does have a certain look about it already. How I long for Summers gone by when we actually got a few weeks( yes folks, weeks!) of sunny weather.... Nowadays I'd be grateful if I could just get a spell of dry, sunny and early 20s....sigh

Blinkin awful day yesterday... unless you like wall to wall driech wet weather, that is. And a tad chilly for end of June, think we reached about 12c... Brrr Better today for us..... But all downhill later and a virtual repeat of yesterday for Thursday... Never mind...kids are stopping for their Summer holidays .... Weathers bound to improve,eh?

Considering some areas have had the hottest June temps since 1976 then perhaps you'll be right..... Perhaps this will have been the best spell of weather we get this Summer.......not sure whether we can really predict the rest of Summer on the Summer Solstice though. Anyhow, some of us are still waiting for a decent spell of summer weather.

Unsettled either end with a beautiful centre..... Remaining warmer than average...... Question is.... Will it stretch to Bonnie Scotland? 17.5c please
