Morning all! Well, I see I'm not the only one stuck in the weather doldrums! It seems to have been the same dull pish for weeks without even a downpour to break the monotony. Anything worthwhile coming up in February then? Y'know, sunshine, maybe a wee touch o' frost and dare I mention the White Stuff?

Morning all! I think I can best describe today's weather as utter, utter pish. Horizontal rain, blawin' a bit o' a hooley, dismal and dreich. A duvet day perhaps? An inside one definitely! Looking ahead for this month, things may, and I do stress, may, get a bit more interesting. Yes, I know it's two weeks away and very likely to change, but that does look quite good now, doesn't it?

Good morning Kilties from a rather chilly Skye! Temp currently hovering around 1c but the wind chill makes it feel like -20c. Aye ok, a slight exaggeration there but I'm sure you catch my drift! We have had a few light graupel showers this morning too so all is white ootbye. I'm not expecting any proper snaw today so will make do with looking out the window at what we have here. Am not venturing out if I can help it. Just returned from seeing my New Year houseguests off on the bus and I can confirm that is is truly baltic oot there! Stay cozy Peeps!

Morning Kilties! Hope the hangovers are all gone now! We had a very mild NY day at 15c and today we have clearing skies and the current temp is 3.8c, so it is noticeably chilly today! Will get out for a walk today at some point but with extra layers on to keep that nippy wind at bay!

Good morning and a Happy New Year from a rather breezy Skye! Temp was 15.8c earlier on and has now dropped to 12.5c. I've been watching the wind whip the waves into spindrift over the pier, which is great to watch from the comfort of one's own scratcher. Off to the local hostelry later on today but I'll be the sober one as I'm taking the car. No drams for me till we get home for our steak pie later on! Hope 2022 brings us some decent snowy days, warm balmy spring and summer and a lovely colourful autumn! Slainte Mhath!

Good morning Kilties from a very mild and calm Isle of Skye! Last walk of the year today to blow away the cobwebs and air my drink sodden head caused by starting Noo Year early when the family arrived. So early bed tonight then so I'll be fresh for tomorrow's walk and hopefully a catch up with friends. Have a great Noo Year all and may the weather gods bring all you wish for in 2022!

Morning all! Today is a kinda rinse and repeat of yesterday, gloom, gloom, gloomy, temp 3.9c, very calm. Boooooorrrrrriinnnggg! Looking forward to some clear frosty days, not too bothered about snow TBH, just to see some blue skies and sunshine would be most welcome.

Morning Campers from a very gloomy Skye! Current temp 3.9c. Snow forecast this week for some Peeps but as usual I will not build up my hopes that we'll get anything more than a few light sleet showers. I know it won't be white Christmas here but if it's dry that'll do me! I'm watching the charts with interest in the Scottish Model Discussion thread! It's fairly sane in there and I reckon I'll be able to follow most of the discussion with ease!

A stiff breeze here with light, horizontal rain and ridiculously high temperature of 11.5c. Horrible day! Improvement ahead which will be very welcome! Take it easy Puffy, you need to look after yourself!

Morning all! It got a wee bit blustery here last night, but nothing to write home about where I am. One part of Skye recorded a 78mph gust though. Incredibly mild at 9.30pm last night, 12.6c! Ridiculous! Currently 5.6c , cloud clearing a bit, and light winds. Could be a lot worse!

Morning all! Incredibly mild here just now, temp currently 8.7c. Yesterday at this time it was barely 2c. A bit blustery too and set to be so for the rest of the day. Och well, at least it's not raining! ?️

Oh my! And the actual chance of that really happening is ..... answers on a postcard please! Pishy and miserable here today, hoping it'll clear later on so I can get a wee walk in. Current temp 6c.

Just had a wee snow shower there. Wet snow so not lying. Totally unexpected.

Was very calm up to five minutes ago, now there's sleet blowing right into the front window. A bit on the nippy side too, 2.7c . Not going to be a pleasant day here and will be pure hell over on the east coast. Stay safe everyone!

Finally managed to get the car washed in between light drizzly showers. Current temp 9.2c. Got down to 2.4c overnight Sunday into Monday. As for the weekend, lets just wait and see, eh?

Good morning snow loving kilties! Defo a bit cooler this morning, for once the temp was below 12c at 7.30 this morning. Okay, I'm not going to get excited about the possible arrival of white stuff falling from the sky, even though Skye's skies are looking a bit threatening just now. Rumour has it we may see white stuff later this week, possibly next weekend. It'll probably turn out to be sleet as per usual. Since it would appear that today and tomorrow may stay dry I've threatened the car with a wash. Perhaps I'm being a bit hasty there but it really needs it. Anyhoo, I shall watch the charts with interest and pop into the MAD thread every now and then to get a good laugh. I await developments with great anticipation! ?️

It's been a ho hum few days here, a kind of rinse and repeat scenario. Breezy and showery ( again! ) current temp 9.9c but does feel a wee bit chillier. Bound to improve at some point I'm sure, but not holding my breath.

Morning all! Very mild today at 12.3c. Wet and a bit blustery. Expecting it to be rubbish all day so will be clearing out cupboards to keep local charity shops well stocked. DVD's and crisps and wine later on. I'm easy to keep happy! ?️

Morning all! Dry with light winds here, temp 5.3c, rain forecast for later on. Weekend looks interesting depending which forecast you believe! One tell me 45 - 55 mph gusts, another tells me gusts in the region of 64mph. Fortunately no heavy rain is forecast for Saturday so that at least is a blessing. Best get out and get stuff tied down or locked away in sheds for the duration. ?️?️

Greetings all! Can't remember the last time we had a dry day here. Was it last week? Anyhoo, we are back to the usual slight dampness that we always get this time of year. Emptied rain gauge yesterday, 45mm of rain in previous 24 hours. Emptied it again this morning, 47mm this time. Any advance on 47mm oot there? Something tells me there will be much higher totals than that over the next 24 hours. Extremely mild again. Longing for a bit of clear sky and some frost. Nothing doing any time soon I reckon. Hope no-one gets flooded oot! Stay safe! ?️
