  1. I know the feeling man. Yesterday, I was down the local watching the storms move in from the SE... As soon as they reached me, i heard a rumble, the skies went amazing, and then it disappeared north and south of us.. From this To This:
  2. I Mean... I guess they are not wrong But yeah, From a "I love storms" POV.. Its looking very tasty later.
  3. Worse "better" or worse, worse? I didnt see what yesterdays Cape looked like.. Still looks good either way for today!
  4. Thunder in Gloucester Very humid, zero wind, clouds ain't moving. I suspect later might be very fun!
  5. Well, The sky today in Gloucester certainly gives off the stormy vibes. I think ill cry if nothing pops up today Personally, id say mid afternoon is looking nice. Plenty of convergence. While im not directly in the firing line, hopefully something shifts this way
  6. Looks pretty big from Glos. but like almost every other around here at the moment. A lot are gonna pop off in the next hour i recon.
  7. So many CBs about round here. Specially to the West and SouthWest. Sun is out , so fingers crossed for a few cracks of thunder later.
  8. Pretty decent for the time of year. Time to get some new batteries in this bad boy for 2023!
  9. CMON BABY! Lets kick April off with some storms! Show us what the year will bring!
  10. LOL. Yeah you're doomed. The second BBC or Metoffice was you gonna get storms... It doesn't happen.

  14. Yeah.. Its been pretty poor. Considering the amount of heat, we have had almost nothing. Some low pressure systems with heat should be good. There are normally many showers on the tail end south of the lows, so bringing warm moist air up might give us some real good daytime showers and storms. All starts from Sunday!
  15. Wow.. I hope we dont get hail like that. Just had a nice big solar array installed lol
  16. If only it was a little further north. So far had pretty much 20 mins of rain and 2 rumbles lol. Still warm as hell
  17. I'm In Woburn currently not far. And yeah winds dropped a lot. Fairly muggy. If something's gonna happen, it needs to happen soon. It's getting late. Certainly a classic storm feeling right now.
  18. Updraft can sorta happen anywhere. I mean any cloud is technically an upwelling of air. And yeah. The rear of a storm is normally where the rainfall happens. A lot of this can vary based on how strong the updraft is and the speed of the storm. I would say it's not an exact science, when it is.. but it's a complex science.. In general however. Yes, youre correct
  19. I can tell you now, This is almost guaranteed as i am on holiday in the east of the UK. Whenever I'm on holiday, storms move up from the SW.
