Moderate sleet for the past hour. Certainly less cold tonight, with temperature's hovering a couple of degrees above freezing........ although I expect the temperature to drop away after midnight to freezing point again. All eyes on the radar for tomorrow morning 04:00 - 09:00. Gusty winds in the coming few hours too....... 50 mph likely inland imho, with 60 mph in your normal prone exposed locations. Over n out for now from SW Suffolk. FPS -
Widespread night time air frosts across the bulk of mainland Spain next week. Ground frosts enveloping North Africa too, with the increasing risk of an air frost! FPS

61 MPH Gust recorded at Headcorn Aerodrome in mid-Kent at 01:00. Not even on the southern flank yet which is concerning! You get that feeling about this one..............! 80 MPH gusts inland East Anglia tomorrow morning............. 90 MPH coastal anyone??? Cause that's where I think this is heading! Those in NE Norfolk really do need to batten down the hatches...... violent gusts here in a few hours!!! FPS

Good evening Snow & Storms, I'm watching this one closely, certainly has the potential to cause some flooding and wind damage across the SE & EA. Wonder if the GFS 18z will upgrade/deepen this little low spawning off the main Polar Vortex....... FPS -
Good evening, Rapid development of the low pressure in the SW approaches at present - Met.O Loop Will be very interesting to see how this develops over the coming hours. This is the latest Satellite IR Image courtesy of the Met Office Today - 20:00 X.C.Weather indicate a strong gale howling through the English Channel, southern coastal Counties and Kent mid to late morning. Gust in excess of 60 mph possible in exposed prone locations. Sunday - 10:00 Too add, the Met.O projected wind speed gusts illustrate 70 mph in Brighton tomorrow morning. With the ground saturated, and some trees still in leaf I suspect there will be some uprooted trees and some structural damage. FPS

Good afternoon, Certainly looking stormy for us in the south east and EA tomorrow morning into lunchtime period. I think we may see everything but the kitchen sink with embedded thunderstorms, downpours, hail, sleet, snow and some very gusty winds. The Met.O have recently issued a weather watch regarding tomorrow's potential severe weather. Maybe some upgrades later on today. Met Office Warning for our part of the world FPS

Squall Line now stretching in a line from Bournemouth north through too Newbury, this being the heaviest precipitation. Some isolated cells embedded just south of the M4 around the Andover area show rainfall rates at 32+ mm per hour which is a downpour. Will be interesting to see if this squall line develops/intensifies further north as it edges slowly east over the next 8 hours so East Anglia experience a short spell of torrential rain like Counties further south are likely to see. FPS

Thank you for the warm welcome Coast & MK. GFS 06z pushes Friday afternoons storm a little further south with the strongest winds effecting the south coast, Kent, Essex, Suffolk & Norfolk. Will be interesting to see where the 12z places the low. XC Weather illustrates gusts of 65mph for the above areas 15:00 Friday FPS
