  1. Yep at this rate it might miss the UK and head into the channel.
  2. We may miss the main front but the further South East the main front goes the more the North Sea will fire up and blow streamers and showers well in land ala Arpege.
  3. Yh powder snow is nice but dosent accumulate as much. For Me and You we are just to far West. Last cold spell we had a few ice days. This one will be around 1c daytime with 15 nighttime minima. I expect to see London on the news come Sunday with around 15cms.
  4. More like a feline cat from the East although East Anglia in for some heavy snowfall. But temps and widespread snowfall will be disappointing. If the snow gets further West than Oxford I will be suprised.
  5. Ironic so called Beast from the East will be less cold than the recent cold spell where we hit -10 with heavy snow. Unless you are in the NE or the SE this will just feel like a few cold days. Give me a northerly anytime far better for the Mids generally as we are seeing at the weekend. Rare that fronts make inroads inland and stay as a coastal affair also massive wishbone effect.
  6. Never pushes to far inland. Calling this one a no go for here. East mids still in with a shot maybe.
  7. Latest bbc weather had it mainly in East anglia. Not good for mids but potentially very good for London.
  8. Agree the Midlands especially the West never does well from easterlies as the fronts never seem to push far enough in land. I think the West mids will get a dusting. East mids between 5 to 10 cms. Eastern britian 15 to 20cms. But West mids always do better in Northerlies especially through the Cheshire gap. Not excited myself but happy for people in the East who have missed out so far this is there time.
  9. Probably because there forecast is based on the ECM model. Taking all models into account it looks a mainly Eastern affair so our East midlanders could do very well with the West getting flurries and the odd streamer. Many twists and turns to come Sunday in weather terms is an eternity away.
  10. Thats my motto set yourself up for dissapoitment then if it happens it will be even better and a suprise. But in all honesty if it happens the UK would be buried.
  11. Haha love your optimistic nature. But it will have moved at least 10 times by Sunday as they nail it down and if the cold air gets south quick enough. They showed something for similar for last weekend and it was mainly a sleet fest. But 100% hope your right mate.
  12. It will be patchy light snow or sleet by the time Sunday comes lol.
  13. So not much in terms of snow for this week maybe a few flakes for the far NW West of the region. Try not look to far ahead in the future but can see its all doom and gloom in the MOD thread. Still have a feeling Mid Feb could be good.
  14. But my cousin who lives in Yeovil said its melting so quick as soon as intensity weakens. They have no snow on ground so similar to ours yesterday. But does show any PPN will be snow.
  15. Stopping here now didn't amount to anything much due to the warm ground and wet snow. Yep shows accumulation charts are pointless especially in marginal situations. On to the next one we go.
  16. Such a shame this didn't come at night when ground was much colder. About 3 hours of heavy snow. But as soon as it eases a touch it melts so quick.
  17. Woww after the monsoon earlier its actually starting to stick to the ground. Full on mini blizzard here now.
  18. Still heavy snow grass and cars all white but pavements and roads are just to warm to settle on.
  19. Thumping down of heavy snow now cars and grass White.
  20. Gord just been to White Cross dont know if you know it and they have a good covering up there. It literally a 2 minute from me lol. Shows how close it is to be a nice snow event.
  21. Sowing here but wet snow. Went up the road to White Cross and its heavy snow up there and a nice covering literally 2 minutes away.
  22. Guys I cant believe we lucked out again this truly has been a Midlands Winter so far. If it sticks or not just to see snow falling again is incredible. Virtually every time the Midlands has been the place to be wether we have had falling snow or 15cm lol. Met say heavy snow until 4pm here we shall see if it sticks I think we need full on blizzard for that.
  23. And its turned heavy snow falling now. Slushing up the ground already
