  1. A LIGHT dusting of snow in Dunstable around 7am - turned to rain at about 8am....

  6. I'm getting married on 28th December, so I'm keeping my eye on the forecasts.... Be nice to have a few inches of lying snow with clear blue skies.......
  7. Don't they turn the wind turbines off when it's too windy?? I read somewhere that they burn up - literally....
  8. Probably would've turned the heating on, but our boiler was condemed last Monday so am waiting for the new one to be installed......thankfully we have a log burner to keep the 'chill' off.....

  10. Hi, My daughter is dragging me (not literally) up Sonwdon this weekend in aid of Help for Heroes - any ideas what the weather has in store for us?? I've seen on here that temp could be around the 18C mark - however, seen another site showing a tad cooler, around the 13/14C mark. Thanks.
  11. Let's hope so...!!! Getting bored of this mild stuff - I think we've had 1 frost so far this side of 'summer' - not good, but let's see what mother nature has to throw at us when winter does actually get here......

  14. Would prefer a snow early - mid December or 2nd week in Jan - got the kids over new Year and I know I'll get caravaned at by the ex if I didn't them have back on time - of course it'll be my fault!!!! Anyway, nice forecast....let's see what happens this yr - and early next

  16. I don't post a lot on here because a) I don't have knowledge and I don't have or care for the amount of data needed...... However, one thing I have noticed about what WILL happen about this winter is that everyone will assume they are right about their forecast...... How old are you lot?? Get a grip, what will happen, will happen.......Post your forecast and c if it rings true. If someone doesn't agree - oh big scary bear time.......so what!!! u got your mortgage on your winter forecast? No ,well u aint that confident then. At the end of the day , winter will be colder than summer - we may have snow / we may not, but how much depends on the mother nature!!!.......Why all the baiting and counter-baiting..... Why and try to kick each other's arses'- Oh I was more accurate than you......Oh telephone box off - we had snow that's ALL I'm happy about...... OK - rant over.....had a VERY onionse day at work....

  18. My ex used to put the heating on full blast and then walk round in shorts.....and she wondered why heating costs so much!!! Well she didn't actually because she didn't have a bloody clue how much it cost. Stick the heating at 17 and wear some clothes!!!
