  1. Persistent drizzle/rain at the moment, very nice for the lawn which had dried out over the last week. I always find it fascinating when you have rain when there is predominantly sinking air present (1030 hPa).
  2. MP-R Yes, same here. Yesterday was doable as our house blocks out the N wind, but today must have had a bit more E in it as it was too cold to sit out in shorts and a t-shirt. The local Met Office forecast for tomorrow looks weird - persistent rain yet a barometric pressure of 1030 bar?
  3. Andy Bown It's 1600 now and the showers are still following the same NNW-SSE path. Been watching them all day. Almost unbroken sun through the day here in Portishead but probably a persistently showery day for those 15-20 miles to the east.
  4. Bobd29 Wishing you the best of luck. I've had multiple skin cancer operations in recent years, some simple and some complex, I always try to view the procedures as positive events, despite my various phobias around operations. It helps a bit. Hope it goes well and you are posting here again shortly!
  5. Things livening up just south of where I am. Not followed the weather much today but looks like some sort of convergence zone?
