    Just watching loads of distant flashes from that storm to the north of here

    Stoke storm seems to be dying off, really popping off near York though!

    Somewhere in that direction yep, anywhere with a clear SW view will be fine if the storm survives after sunset

    Gonna head for high ground soon and await this storm coming from the SW, good thing about September storms is that darkness is approaching already!

    Just hit 30c here, no breeze at all, feels all the more like mid July than mid September!

    Conditions today feel very similar to September 2016 which saw a big storm moving right up the Midlands into the Peak District

    Did you chase on June 28th 2012? I didn't even have a car at the time so I couldn't, but that day sticks in my mind as the absolute benchmark for UK Storms. Aug 11-12th 2020 was awesome though, I caught the storms in the Peak District after waiting at the Cat & Fiddle with a few others beneath a blood red moon, the atmosphere that night was something else.
