  1. Some impressive vivid lightning and loud thunder earlier while I was out working, and the rain was biblical. Lots of flooding on the roads! Not a bad show for March.
  2. The chart showed rain over Devon and Cornwall too, other than high ground! Must be all that cold air that's so hard to shift...
  3. For some reason the mod discussion has been moved to a different sub forum, it's now under Forecast Model Discussion.
  4. This low on Wednesday is giving me a horrible feeling of deja vue from a few years ago, when it looked like we were gonna get a nice dumping from a channel low, only for it to stay in the channel and Jersey and Guernsey got pummelled. All we had here was a few flakes blowing about in the wind. Same thing is happening again. And to make it worse the outlook beyond that is awful. I really despise our climate.
  5. Well that was fun, albeit brief. Impressed with how fast it settled being in the city centre and right by the water.
  6. With the temperature having been below zero here all day, it's pretty galling to look at the radar and see ppn heading this way knowing it's only gonna be rain.
  7. Well that was a pretty poor forecast by the MO, just a mass of heavy rain, no thunderstorms or squall lines!
  8. Well I've been caught completely by surprise, didn't even know there was a risk today but just had a very nice little storm, loudest booming thunder I've heard in a very long time!
  9. Quite, was sat on my balcony watching it flickering away with no thunder and it's then gone bonkers near Romsey! Seeing more flashes to the south again now.
  10. Looking at the radar I think those in Sussex and Kent could be in for a decent show tonight. Sadly I don't expect to see anything this far west.
  11. One flash and rumble with the rain steadily getting heavier. Exciting stuff.
  12. It's very dark here but hardly any rain yet, let alone thunder and lightning. Hoping that changes soon!
