  1. Explosive development ahead of the main front? Some sharp showers developing on the south coast dorset/hants
  2. Some lovely skyscapes this morning! Woke up to pink flashes and a rainbow as the sun rose. Although the storm died in an instant soon after.
  3. The North Sea has done exceptionally well over the past few months. The channel really needs to up it’s game!
  4. @Craigers Thanks for sharing the videos, that bolt was hella close! . Your son was very brave !
  5. Hi everyone. I’ve always wanted to go to the coast to watch a storm roll in, so I drove down to Weymouth for yesterday’s show and it did not dissapoint!
  6. Some photos of last night's storms dancing over the Dorset countryside. Lots of cloud to cloud lightning with soft rumbles as you typically get in these elevated set ups.
  7. Lots of intra cloud lightning and quiet thunder, must be elevated but some beautiful forks seen on the back edge of these storms.
  8. Biblical rainfall. One rumble so far here, strike not showing on blitz
  9. Well it’s just sods law really. We finally got an easterly in winter but we’re missing that one important ingredient that we seem to get every other day of the year - precipitation! Roll on storm season!
  10. Interesting! I reckon I saw around 10 bolts yesterday, and judging by the posts on here they were all -CG. This was the only one that came out well on camera. Are +CGs rare in the UK?
  11. My view of the Oxfordshire cell on Tuesday evening from North Dorset. Sadly this storm only lasted for about 20 minutes before collapsing. Not often you get to see such a clear view of an anvil cloud in the UK!
