  1. Mornin each. After a couple of very wet and gloomy days, it's cheered up a bit in Ippy. Tuesday in Naaaaarich was horrendous. And apparently, there were flooded roads in Ippy. Have a good day everyone.
  2. Lots of towers going up around Ipswich. After all the rain this morning and now some warm sun, we will 'probably' 'maybe' 'hopefully' see some T&L later.
  3. Well, it absolutely hammered it down in Ipswich, and there was one rumble of thunder. Brilliant!!!!! Hope for better things today.
  4. I'm trying very hard not to get my hopes up....but really, I can't help it. I hope we get some cracking storms next week. Fingers, toes, eyes and everything it's possible to cross is crossed for us all.
  5. This was the stormy looking skies in Ipswich earlier...but no T&L unfortunately.
  6. They missed Ipswich. Curses! Aww, so sorry, Jax . Sad indeed. Poor little thing.
  7. Mornin each. Hope we get some rumbles today. It's raining in Ippy ATM but going to Naaaaaarich later. Have a good day.
  8. So sorry, PP. I do know how you must feel right now. Hope he's happy now at The Bridge. It's two years nearly since my beloved Oscar died. It's so horrible when we lose our pets. They are family as well. X
  9. Maybe it was this, Snow Joke...... http://www.mkweb.co.uk/News/Central-Milton-Keynes-bus-fire-spreading-to-nearby-building-20140507154243.htm
  10. I'll see if I can find out what it may have been. Very mysterious. :O
  11. Mornin each. After some overnight rain, it is quite muggy here and very gloomy. Temp is 15c ATM. Have a good day, everyone.
  12. When I lived in York....I was so jealous of the storms in EA and the general South. My sister was always phoning me about cracking all-nighters in Lowestoft area. Now....I've lived in EA for 13 years and the storms have migrated North. Since I've lived here, I think I can count about 3/4 decent storms in all that time. 'Sigh'
  13. Ok, John....but don't leave us for too long. Your weather updates are a big part of our forum. I find them very easy to read and understand. And we appreciate them very much. Very still and quiet evening here, and quite warm but cloudy. Now rain alarm gone off. Tut!
  14. Yes....Wales with SW would be good. As to the rest of Paul's suggestion.....yup, that's fine I reckon.
  15. I'll go with the majority, but a vote on how the regions could be divided up might be a good idea.
  16. Currently 15c here. Still warm but clouded up, hazy but fresh scent in the air. Nice.
  17. Mornin each. Lovely warm day here. Sunny with hazy sky. If anyone in our region is without internet....here's why. http://www.ipswichstar.co.uk/news/update_services_back_online_for_sky_telephone_and_broadband_customers_1_3585615 Have a good day everyone.
  18. After a pleasantly sunny day...it is now a lovely evening with a crescent moon in a clear sky; and still some light in the West. Have a good evening, everyone.
  19. Just been out and it's really chilly. And now the clouds have moved in so it's looking dull. Brrrrr! The moggies don't seem to be too impressed with the chill either and are refusing to shift.
  20. Mornin each. Lovely, sunny start to the day here. Hope it stays like this. Hope you all have a lovely, relaxing, and happy weekend. Why on Earth should anything you've said here be considered controversial, AS? It's just a nicely painted word picture of a typical English scene. Very nicely described as usual. If people are over sensitive to some posts, that's their problem, not yours. I for one refuse to scrutinise and exam every post before hitting the publish button. If we stick to weather and general chit chat....what's the problem. I may get censored for saying this...but it had to be said as people seem to be constantly apologising for their posts lately. This 'walking on eggshells' is very bad for what has been, up to now, a friendly, happy and vibrant forum.
  21. Bit late in the day...but the sun came out early evening. Still quite chilly but pleasant. Just had a nice glass of Australian red. Very nice.
  22. Mornin each. Very dull, gloomy and chilly this morning and some very dark skies over yonder. (North West I think. I'm geographically challenged ).Mr Pikes weather updates are very welcome on here. I, and many others appreciate his hard work.Back to the weather......no storms today by the look of it. Never mind....it's early days yet.Have a good day, everyone.
  23. Last good storm I remember in Norwich was 13th September 2006. It was fairly stormy early hours of that morning on way up to York, and on way back same day, we ran into a corker of a storm as we came into Norwich. Marvellous.
