    A gorgeous day in Stockport today. 5c I was traveling back over Woodhead pass yesterday from Sheffield visiting mum and pulled in a layby.. Only I caught this when doing so

    Oh my gosh! So excited. Coming back over the woodhead it was so atmospheric with the mist in the valleys. So I pulled into a look layby for photos. Only when I get out of the car.... There is a FOG BOW! I was so excited. The other car in layby must have thought I was a weirdo

    Due to the way the block evolves, frontal snow risk as milder air moves in looks less likely at the moment. Winds switch to a southerly direction allowing milder air to push northwards long before any frontal systems are able to push into the UK. Remaining cold into the wkend.
