some yellows appearing in the band aproaching Cardiff and band pepping up nicely

A good sign did you see how the showers pepped up as they crossed the channel ?? hope the same thing happend with the approaching heavier bands

Are those showers ove southamton progged to head towards the cardiff area then?? Great couple of hours in Bridgend Moderate snow has given us a brand new 2 inch covering which makes up for the slushfest yesterday in this area

If you had said that 5 years ago I could well have believed you but winters seem to returning to the ways of old and we have had a couple of decent falls each year, still you never know so best to savour!!!

But how can it stay around cardiff area so long when it is moving north and west so fast??

It does look as if the the thickest precip will clear cardiff within a couple of hours why is it predicted to last so much longer??

Derek is fantastic but does anyone think he may have underestemated the westward progress of the front even based on what we are seeing now???
