    Been a foggy -3 for most of the day, now light snow and settling in Buckshaw Villiage

    Snow cover scattered but still here after some sunny skies, temp seems to be hovering between 2/3 deg, starting to overcast now, not sure if rain is on the way of fog….radar doesn’t seem to show any showers.

    Few centimetres of snow cover, some wet flakes falling, temp at 1 degree here (just outside Chorley)

    Drove back from Manchester today and the road condition were questionable, especially now it’s colder. As for traction am lucky/fortunate with 4 wheel drive and a bucket load of electronic traction, stability and the kitchen sink, down side is that the car weighs over 2 tons!

    Got to venture out later to take my son’s GF home to Blackburn- bet it’s going to be an interesting drive. Roads around me are def getting slippery, I guess my traction control is going to work hard tonight!

    Clear skies, white frosts …….. got to be next best to snowy weather = happy days

    ... must admit that is been ‘lucky’ in terms of forecasted snow showers here, probably more to do with height and location but hey, if all fails then it’s back to the ‘snow dance’ routine.....

    Had quite good/heavy snowfall for a short while, fell on frozen ground and snow remnants from yesterday. It’s getting lighter but something tells me it won’t be the last we shall see over the next 24hrs...     Still a long way to go, am sure your chances will increase.... as to football, sorry can’t comment, the ONLY football game I have ever watched was in the film Escape to Victory, don’t even know the rules - we are all rugby and F1 with my family. Good luck with your football wish regardless.

    ..it’s quite steady now, picture below was earlier so it’s settling and looking at the radar and various forecasts, I thing that my area is going to see a reasonable accumulation...

    Still remnants from yesterday evening, it’s melting slowly but am expecting more tonight/early hours tomorrow- big concern will be ice if it freezes.

    Looking reasonable in Brinscall, quite wet snow so if temps drop, could be an ice hazard very quickly.
