  1. There's always trees down, lorries overturned etc in storms every winter, you have heard more about this 1 because there was more media coverage from it being a red warning so you hear of everything newsworthy
  2. No where near as bad as forecast for most places and not worth the red warnings for the majority of South Wales. That is a good thing mind because wot was forecast would have caused a lot more damage
  3. No stronger than any other average winter storm at the moment, warning is from 7am till 12pm and so far only gusts of 40mph here. its not as bad as forecast
  4. Just stick to the more experienced posters who keep a level head and don't add emotion to what the charts are showing. If there are signs things can go wrong and it turns mild instead it usually does, when there's no signs of things going wrong and snowmageddon is forecast, even then be wary cos it usually ends up wrong and we end up mild and wet
  5. Unless the meto backtrack and change the forecast my feet are firmly on the ground and I'm expecting a wet Xmas. that all changes to ❄ ❄❄
  6. About 6am in the morning they should be up, but still low single figures till later on in the evening
  7. Looks like it's coming to end soon but at least this cold spell didn't go out with a proper whimper just a whimper lol
  8. Heavy snow in st Athan where I'm working but looking at radar it's going to stop soon Edit its not going to stop soon my radar was only showing half
  9. Latest meto video forecast is dire, no precipitation makes it into wales apart from maybe a tiny bit Saturday night in the northwest
  10. Plenty of time for upgrades but I think we're just going to be unlucky this time for any disruptive snow, so on to the next chase which won't be to long
  11. The last few sentences were "potential" for it to get wet but uncertainty on whether the mild will win or the cold so there's potential for snow as well so something to keep an eye on In other words they haven't got a clue whats going to happen at the moment
  12. They've already put the warnings out for Thursday and Friday but unfortunately not for us only eastern side of the uk
  13. How many times have we had dry days forecast for it to turn out to be wet and miserable all day? The Atlantic will do what it does, bring mild and wet Just sit back relax and watch it all unfold and hopefully we'll be seeing snow, but if not there's always next time
  14. Im just happy to have a break from all the rain, cold dry and sunny will do me fine and if we do get any snow its a bonus
