Here in the New Forest we've had about 2 inches of snow and then...freezing rain. I haven't seen proper freezing rain since the 70's in Sheffield...it formed a thick layer over the surface of our park home and a layer over the snow...you could pick it up and break it! Fascinating...but I would still rather have had more snow....

No rain here as yet...sounds very elevated as it's literally rumbling so low you can almost feel it....:-)

Lightning and thunder seen from Southhampton general hospital.about 10 miles away currently...no rain as yet...

Had about an hour of intermittent heavy rain here in the New Forest...now drizzling ....no thunder or lightning.

Dont think so! I'm 2 1/2 miles from the beach and its still snowing here...rain today has it snowing here for at least another 3 hours....

We had about 4cm or so here in the New Forest...it gradually melted from the car park and the road but we still had quite an impressive icicle hanging from the gutter at dusk...then we had an hour or two of light snow that has settled on the car park again and mostly replenished the bits that were thinning...:-)
