fingers crossed.Well whatever the orange band is that was in scotland and isle of man i mentioned earlier is anout to go right over us soon, will be right in the thick of it, in the thick of what though that is the question? Lol
-
To be honest the occluded front probably just bring the typical rain, sleet and snow (wintry mix) anywhere but snow prob more confined to higher ground or the leading edge though.
-
well its quite high up in burnley anyway. its should snow for 2 hours than turn back to rain later.Clouding over now
crewcold says im not hight enough off to sit on a hill lol
At lower levels we could expect the snow for 30min - 1 hr here at best.
saw dark clouds approaching from the north west here.
-
I think you should be alright for snow there.near burnley and according to google approx 390 ft asl
-
where about you live?im not sure how high i am
-
yes only if you live high enough this afternoon.Any chance of any more ?
-
There is a chance of snow early next week and it says: All models now show something of a major Low slipping SE bringing the potential for some significant snow in places to start next week.
Source: Gibby.
So stuff this north-westerly and I am waiting for the snow event early next week as a new Easterly blast sets in.
-
I wouldnt rule out a back edge snow though as the northerlies set in.
-
So far the majority of scottish members are reporting snow from the main band. More dark clouds are still coming from the west here dispite the radar show blank in the Irish sea. It has to be broken.
Update: Sleet in Ayr right now. Thats at the sea level.
-
a 2 minute hail shower here. Thats all I getting at the moment. worthless. Im guessing that is it for today here until afternoon when the clear skies raise the temps up and turns anything back to water. Its not a mild sector at all. Its just a huge big ass gap between the bands.
Im guessing the north easterners prob laughing at us by now. I bet they've get 10 times more than us.
-
There is dark clouds to the west and after that just nothing. Hopeless. That is really make me gutted.
It just not warm enough and too far south from the brunt of the snow in Scotland.
-
This north westerly is just poor. The weather warnings just needs to be downgrade to confined to Greater Manchester only. alot of members in the NW just seemed reporting snow in just Manchester.
-
I think the radar just got broken at the Irish Sea. It just show blank and showers popping out of nowhere couple of miles west of blackpool.Had torrential hail & light snow showers overnight. There's a dusting out there but it's melting quickly. Told you guys not to expect much from this watered down north westerly. The mild sector was always going to ruin things.
Besides, convection has now died a death in the Irish Sea. Snooze fest! Although them hail showers last night were brilliant accompanied by lightning.
-
Localize snow is not on either. I just want to be widespread heavy snow anywhere. No warm sectors thank you.
-
If That nuisence mild sector wouldnt be here today I would've expect a full day of snow showers. I quite annoyed that they placed a warm sector for some stupid reason. It is a Arctic Blast for godsake. Can anyone agree with me?
-
nothing whatsoever here. Game Over I guess. The Met Office just lied to us again!
-
Blizzards again here. Third time I saw blizzards this winter. One I while I went to sweden, another few weeks back and then now.
-
Snowing here now.
-
Preston is 3C now but 10 minutes ago it is 2C.
-
Theres no snow here in Leyland too. Maybe that Preston's snowless curse just got here. What is it with this godforsaken town and snow.
-
lol pass it on to BT.Slush puppie anyone? mud flavour
-
Just seen a flash of lightining here. some bits of snow falling. No thunder heard though.
-
Looks like the showers in the Irish sea is just forming out of nowhere.
-
I just lived just too far north of the snow. Im gutted. By judging at the radar the wind is changing direction to more of a north-westerly if you look closely.
