  1. Well it seems when I try to fight my corner for being ganged up for no apparent reason my post gets deleted and yet the abusive posts about me get to stay. I'll stop using the forum now as there is just no point. Shame really - that you have to be a storm lover and not a sun lover to be a member. And for the record I did not gloat, cause trouble or make any untoward post today about storms. But snow raven made sure to bully me and make a disgusting comment about my day out today.
  2. Aww - I think it's pretty save to say I can't post anything right- unless I'm bouncing up and down wishing for one clap of thunder. Just arrived to the park and it's glorious. Summer is here... At least for the next 6hrs.. Lol
  3. Off to Hyde park now for drinks then onto central for dinner. Couldn't think of a better evening to fall on. Temp reached 29c in NE London today so its a possibility somewhere could have reached higher. This is just my preference but I'm so happy no storms came to my area today! What a waste of one day of summer sunshine if you ask me, looking at news the Midlands suffered terribly with what was like mid west style storms. I have just brought a new car and I would have been devastated if it got damaged by that hail. Instead London gets hot sunshine all day and no rain - My kind of weather. Just can't beat it. Also all the ladies I'm sure will be looking good in London tonight with the humid weather if you know what I mean ;-) Very slim chance of any thunderstorms breaking out this evening over London so I'm very happy.
  4. I know it feels humid, but let's just get a little perspective. The first day since Mays warm spell do we have temps in the high twenties for the SE. Just try to enjoy the sun and warmth. I get it feels very muggy and can make you feel uncomfortable. But it's 1 day. Tomorrow it will be back to wind, cloud and cool weather.
  5. I've been chatting over on the MOD thread The glorious weather here today I couldn't resist posting about it on here. Nothing noteworthy posting about past two weeks. The fact the storms have missed us and chances look low later is a massive bonus for me and my mates as we are off for beers and food later in Hyde park. Not looking forward to the crap weather returning tomorrow :-(
  6. Just loving the weather this morning. Feels like ages since it felt like summer in my garden. This heat and sunshine beats the cloudy cool weather hands down. Just wish we were forecast this for the next two weeks now. I can imagine the usual moaners complaining its too hot then once it's wet and cold complaining about that too. Good old Brits :-)
  7. Not really, only had 1 noteworthy thunderstorm here in NE London since April. Otherwise it's just been cloudy wet and cold.
  8. Absolutely love the fact that the Midlands are having thunderstorms and here in London I'm baking in wall to wall sunshine! Also look On course to remain settled all day! 28c and sunshine. That's what I'm talking about. Back to the usual drosh tomorrow.
  9. Absolutely - charts in winter that show a blizzard and harsh temps 7 days away rarely come true. Likewise with charts 'today' that are showing 3c for July. I'm Pretty confident that the temp will not drop to 3c in central areas in 7 days. I would also like to add that most models are predicting a pretty wet Wednesday and Thursday across Northern areas when only two days ago there was talk of major thunderstorms across the south with potential flooding and temps up to 27c. Now we see models and TV media give scattered storms for the South and temps of 25c and possible flooding for the North Now that's how I know that 3c next week is highly unlikely
  10. That's 7 days away which makes it FI Pointless even thinking that will happen until two days away at the very earliest. 3 days ago the models were predicting a sunny day for most tomorrow and temps up to the mid twenties. In reality tomorrow will be cloudy and muggy only peaking at 21c at the very best.
  11. I have seen higher dew points and CAPE before with more instability and no supercells developed, here in North London anyway. So I will believe it when I see it. From past experience 1 day of humid weather never gave me supercell activity.
  12. Back to the models and it still looks like a much better week at least for the South next week. I await the 12z now.
  13. I expect a few disappointed storm fans on Thursday. Models do show a poss thundery spell on Thursday but anything significant is unlikely - going by the latest ECM and GFS there isn't enough time for the humid air to stick around - blink and you will miss it. Without the humid air there is not enough instability to produce real thunderstorms. So many times in past summers have we seen a two day event of humid weather with Temps in the high twenties and expected thunderstorms - it never happens. Maybe the odd heavier shower and rumble of thunder. I'm just going to enjoy the warmer temps in London next week and anyone wishing for more rain be it thundery or not in my mind is just bizarre. This country has had so much rain that it needs a long term rest bite. Wish for sun instead if you have any sence
  14. You mention deep Fantasy world ... Exactly!!! So I wouldn't read into it - just like I'm sure you wouldn't take it as gospel if it were showing a Spanish plume lasting over a week. I'm optimistic that July will offer some good weather - look at the end of May warm spell. It came from nowhere. The models were showing unsettled throughout and I remember posters quoting "right of summer" - "rain all the way" Then if I recall around 4/5days before the warmth arrived the models had a complete switch around. The south at least having over 7 days of warm/very warm weather. I know it seems we are in this dreadful unsettled pattern and it seems we have a low pressure hit us every Friday - lol But maybe just maybe things will switch like they did in May - this weather can't go on forever and I'm pretty sure that Northern block only has a few weeks left in its grip. Fingers crossed.
