  1. the mod thread is laughable, the heat lovers click on the like button when somebody mentions high pressure etc, and the cold lover click the like button when someone talks about greenland high''s and cool weather

It is grim I know but it's best to try to take your attention away from it I think

I agree, we should embrace it as it fuels life on earth. However, whether this period of climate change is human induced or not and/or whether it's a blip, it is a phase that we cannot escape. We have to put up with what we've got, shame we can't put the weather under a voting party scheme. I have had enough of this green (as in lush plant growth) agenda. Soon we will be welcoming Autumn but what will it bring?

  3. yet another "Summer's day" pass us by

my tomatoes are way behind this year, i put them in the ground yesterday, they might be ready in time for halloween, i need a hot summer now beans, cucumbers, and lettuce are small as well but they grow quicker than tomatoes

The league is very competitive now and arguably as good a quality as League Two (which is why BSP clubs don't struggle when they go up). Time for 3 clubs to go up now! 2 automatic and 1 play off!

    3. Snowy Easterly

      Snowy Easterly

yeah agree, plus next season there will be more clubs who have money to spend again

    4. Summer Sun

      Summer Sun

Yes I have never understood why its not 2 automatic and 1 through the playoff's would make much more sence

i planted my french beans last week but they look half dead now, im not sure if its the cold that has affected them, or because they have been moved and the roots are not getting adjusted to the soil ?? it will be about 2c here tomorrow night will they die or will they survive that temp

I like this sunshine but don't want a damaging frost Tuesday night. Warm easterlies are usually warm and sunny down here (11th May 2008, 26.3C)

Nothing is pointless my dear. It's the variety that makes the weather beautiful.

  14. dear me after a horrible cloudy, windy day it typically clears up now and the wind has died down, leading to a cold night which could harm my crops, i have nothing to protect them with, we get more frosts in may than we do in january

my allotment is exposed to the cold, its typical that we gt cold nights in may and in january its cloudy and mild

    3. Eugene

      Eugene

yes and christmas day was very mild also, was colder last weekend than christmas, the good winter synoptics always seem to occur in the spring, after a northerly blocking summer you can bet your bottom dollar the euro trash highs will be back from late september onwards :)

yep it will be groundhog day again, king azores will be back for the winter

  15. Messi now has 72 goals this season, will we ever see that record broken ?
