What is this "snow" people are talking about? Absolute rubbish! Shropshire is an awful place to live if you love weather. Snow is non existent in winter storms come along every 3-4 years and the summer is cloudzilla from 9am till 7pm! Thats my rant over you guys that have snow enjoy it.

I will be glad when this winter is over. One of the worst in terms of lack of snow. Not 1 day of snow! I would say most of the midlands has seen snow this winter. Just that area called Shropshire keeps missing out! Oh well got summer to look forward to and cloud cover untill 7pm at night yay!!!

No way! There is absolutely nothing here except very wet pavements/roads. Just shows how localised snow can be lol!

Where are you in Telford? There is nothing here in Hadley!?!

Woke up expecting to see a couple of cm of snow. Looks like someone had spilt icing sugar over the paths and car. Really poor showing for Telford/shropshire again!! Apart from the 10 minutes yesterday evening it looks like nothing else fell! Yawn... can't wait to move from this crappy town!

Well that woke me up!!! Big flash lit the bedroom up followed by a huge bang! Looks like round 2 is about to start.

Couple of grabs from video footage 1st time i have done this. I filmed the shelf cloud going over too that needs editing 1st lol!

Really enjoyed that, lightning was epic just like a stobe light! Thunder just seemed to rumble and rumble with louder booms every few seconds. Clothes are soaked waterproof coat.... not up to the job lol! On the down side my 2 year old was scared stiff watching from the porch with mummy and she had to take him upstairs (1st time he has seen a thunderstorm!)

This is awesome constant thunder, lighting is like a stobe light in the sky. Poor little one is crying his eyes out tho

Story of Telfords Summer!

Shocker lol!

Im not getting excited and i fully expect come this time tomorrow us storm starved shropshire lads/lasses will still be storm starved. Storms will start firing once they have evaded our storm sheild! I do hope im wrong and we finally get lucky but it just happens time and time again around here!

Well what a suprise, as soon as they forecast storms yesterday i fully expected a day of grey muck followed by drizzle which slowly sparks into life once it passes over! What is it with this area, we did look in the firing line for some pretty heavy rain at least. I think 97% of the uk has seen a storm now unfortunately some of us midlanders ( mainly Shropshire) have been nothing! Pretty awful summer to be honest. I had the last week of July and the 1st week of August off and the weather was foul for the 1st week while i was on holiday in wales!! I go back to work and the sun comes out and it warms up! Grrrrr! Sorry rant over!

YAWN!!! The weather is so predictable when they forecast storms.. a full day of mid level muck and patchy drizzle! I give up now!!

Its been a really poor "summer" so far. Forecast looks pretty poor for the next couple of weeks the app on my phone has cloud... rain.... cloud cloud....cloud for a whole week! Bloody typical too because it happens to be the week i break up. That is still a week away so hopefully that changes!

Big fat zero for storms here this year. Very disappointing. Some places have been really unlucky this year and Shropshire is one of them!

Well another non event for shropshire YAWN! I dont even think we had any rain last night? This summer has been really poor if you work as the weekend have been dire. You could bet your house on a lousy Sunday! When we do get some sun the wind blows you away or you get cloudzilla piles in till 7pm in the evening! The frustrating one tho is the storms as conor said 2008 was the last good storm we had. I know since i have been with my parnter there has been no thunderstorms that i have had the pleasure of been able to enjoy ( 4 years this year!) There was one in 2012 i think during the day as i remember seeing the pictures on facebook of the larger then normal hail when i got home from work. Did not here a thing at work!! I think if i want to see a storm again then i am going to have to move as Shropshire is one of the most uneventful places to live weatherwise.

Well you wont be shocked to here there has been no thunder in Shropshire. Did get a bit gusty earlier it blew the windows shut in the office at work and we have come home and the roof has blown off the little ones house in the garden.

Well another bust for Shropshire! Had some heavy rain while i was out shopping up town, then we had another shower not long ago. Cleared up now and you can see the steam coming off the fence already. So all in all this plume event delivered nothing round here really gutted!

It really does get tiresome eh? The only thing you can guarantee in Shropshire is cloudzilla on a Sunday!
