  1. After a morning of wet dandruff, I've been treated to a all but 10 second hail shower!
  2. Sorry too hear others are missing out, but we have light snow currently and settling to a dusting.
  3. 7c here, a toothless cold spell too say the least. Hearing the BBC bang on about 'Bitterly cold' blah blah, it's a wonder why people like 'Piers Corbyn' go on about the BBC & The MO being 'Charlatans'. Their is no bite to this cold spell at all. It's weak. All the fuss is just beyond ridiculous. The way this 'Northerly' has been forecasted has been a complete shambles. I won't even bother with a BBC forecast again tbh. Never ever watch ITV, it's complete rubbish and guess work. On Friday, the beeb forecasted a mainly dry day on saturday lol. It was wet pretty much for half the whole day. Rain, Sleet and Snow across many parts. But the beeb went for a predominantly a dry day. Terrible. Don't even mention the polar low. Useless they are. I stick to a temp on my barometer and what the radar is showing. Simple.
  4. Showers marching in towards us, some will be disappointed as Rain & Sleet will be most of them depending on how heavy they are, then some wet snow. Hopefully later their can be more, then they will be mostly of snow.
  5. Feeling a little anxious about this cold spell. BBC are sooooo vague about weather down in this quadrant of the UK. They show on their graphics, bands of showers fleeting with the SE through this morning and this evening, but their is no such evidence on the current radar. Showers are dying over the Welsh mountains and if any make it too the Midlands, well they are decaying very fast. Thus not making it to the SE and were in for a day of glorious winter sunshine with a marked wind chill, and staying relatively dry apart from the odd flurry of sleet or snow, even rain for that matter! Talking of Rain, tomorrow we will see it more on a more Northerly wind. Well I'd say still a NW'ly, but slacker. Then the BBC show a distinctly bowed Northerly on Saturday to re-introduce a colder feel once again than that of friday that looks in essence 'Weak'. It's Sunday when a 'Blast' of sorts will be keenly felt across the UK. My feelings are that this is a North Cold spell, with very much isolated a showery activity further south, apart from the SW, where I think that LOW that is circling the Jet will effect Ireland and the SW with some quite 'Noteworthy' snow. So all in all, for me, biasly in the SE, I'm yet again annoyed because it's nearly 2 years and counting since I've seen a flake of snow! I'm getting annoyed!

  7. This cold spell could produce something for one day down here, but thereafter, it looks rather anticyclonic with high pressure making inroads midweek next. So, albeit doom and gloom, it doesn't look great for us snow starved south easterners yet again. Graphics of precipitation don't cut it for me. It's on the day that matters and looking at the radar. Can see it now.......showers moving swiftly across the midlands and dying out as it gets anywhere near the M25 lol.
  8. You've only got to look at the jet stream forecast to see that the rest of this month is going to be cold/very cold and that easterly/North easterly will keenly develop late next week. So I think it's very encouraging. Models will start to fall into place very soon, and this place will no doubt go into meltdown again!
  9. Nice little storm brewing in the channel. Should hit East/NE/SE maybe central London in next hour or so.
  10. I know the news can do it's best to worry and concern people, but this NK lot have 9.5m troops in waiting, doing nothing, and a leader who (appears) to be bored and wanting to play with his new toys. I do hope it's 'Willy waving'.
  11. Got to agree with others, this current set up is Zzzzzzz, it's done nothing for my area but just cloud and cold winds, no snow to speak of. Can't be depressed though when there's light so close at the end of the tunnel. More depressingly and worryingly is this N.Korea threat to the US! Don't know whether it's a storm in a tea cup, or the flirtings with a WW3!
  12. Had some rain in my showers, some small pellets of Hail as well. Some pointless little flakes here and there. Zzzzz Anyway, the Arsenal are winning!
  13. At last, a NE wind blowing in some life here in the SE! Nice to see the radar showing some activity for us all. Not seen anything here yet, but I do think a couple of light to moderate showers of sleet/snow will show it's hand today at some point!
