    Finally something a bit more substantial in Barnsley. Smallish flakes but coming down heavy, winds have picked up.

    Plenty of showers heading the way of barnsley, but they just completely run out of steam. So frustrating!

    Fairly surprised that central barnsley doesn't even have a slight covering at the minute. Occasional dandruff being blown around is about our lot. Hopefully that changes!

    That heavier stuff looks to be trending slightly more south. Sheffield/Chesterfield.

    Snow line in Barnsley is around 200m . Rain/sleety mix in Silkstone, but heavy snow in Hoylandswaine 20210206_175749.mp4

    Just been to sort my dads care needs and it's a complete whiteout at hoylandswaine. Very heavy snow.

    Yep, big wet flakes mixed in with the rain now! Windchill is noticeable as well

    Still absolutely hammering it down in Barnsley, real shame it couldn't come 12 hours later! Noticeably colder than when I went out this morning though

    Anything of note in Barnsley yet? Currently out Wortley way at Bromley Farm and its snowing but fairly small flakes. Won't be heading home for an hour or so.

    Snowing in Barnsley, near the hospital. Not heavy, but it's proper snow - not sleet. Bodes well I guess?

    Nearest we've had to a storm in barnsley, just on the periphery. Torrential rain with good rumbles of thunder just to the east. Didn't catch any lightening.

    first rumble of thunder in central Barnsley now and torrential rain. No lightening as of yet

    Think Barnsley will just miss out on this storm - hopefully more to come.
