    Getting quite scary here now! Wildest it has been all day. Does anyone know when this will all be over for this part of the world (8 miles north of Duns, Borders) x

    pressure stable here at 973 mb - temp dropping rapidly and winds howling! Not so nice out there now! Keep safe everyone. x

    Pressure here dropped from 997 mb to 977 mb in the last hour. No real wind yet to talk about, just a kind of weird air (lol, don't you love the pun:-) of expectation.

    Strong winds this morning blew the shutters in my bedroom open but all is calm now - very wet and grey out. Keep safe everyone. x

    Friends I was wondering if any of you know if schools will kept open tomorrow. I am debating whether to send my children to school tomorrow but my instincts are telling me it's not going to be safe enough. Am I just being a stress Bess, lol?

    Currently snowing large fluffy white flakes here. We are about 8 miles north of Duns in the Borders. Temp is 2.4 degrees C. x

    Amazing sunny day here in the Borders. Light snowfall this morning but nothing since. Hopeful of some decent snowfall later in the week but I guess time will tell. Have a wonderful day everyone. x

    Hi everyone. What a wonderful thread this is. Windy and a little wet here in the Borders tonight. We live on a sporting estate just outside Duns so no lamposts to watch. Save a small sliver of moon there isn't much light out there so can't tell if we have sleet or rain. x Wishing you all a wonderful evening. x
