  1. SqueakheartLW id say autumn lasts for about 10 months of the year
  2. Ooh I was only 0.1 off! An absolutely horrid month to be sent to the dustbin of weather history.
  3. March 2018 just for how exceptional the Beast From The East was, I’ve never felt a wind as cold as that before with full on white out conditions. It had a decent variety that month in general. I loved the warm spell in 2012 so that’s up there too. 2013 was remarkable but the cold and greyness outstayed its welcome by the end. The landscape was a barren winter wasteland well into April. Still it was an astonishing month with lots and lots of snow.
  4. This month on the 8th left a decent covering but it’s still a month for the bin. We had 5 days of consecutive snow last March with probably the heaviest snow here since the Beast from the East on the 10th. We had some snow on the 3rd January 2022 and 19th February 2022, both mild months. January 2016 saw a few days of snow mid month. Boxing Day 2014 we had heavy snow. In fact that winter was a decent one for snow here although poor in other parts, with several falls in January and February. I remember waking up snow cover one Saturday morning in February 2011.
  5. It’s been a complete stinker of a winter, very mild and wet, literally the worst of both worlds. This February has properly topped it off, awful from start to finish. I’d say roll on spring but no doubt the perfect winter charts will crop up in April and May.
  6. 2018 was so good I named myself after it The hot and dry was more consistent in 2018 and from what I remember of it the August was a lot better. 2006 had much better storms though, I can’t recall one from 2018.
  7. I was going to post the same thing, I’m wearing a light jacket and still sweating yet Leeds was full of people in scarfs, hats and gloves. I mean you wouldn’t wear that for 15C in June so just because it’s February doesn’t mean you have to now!
  8. June in particular was appalling, that Jubilee weekend was the stuff of nightmares. I remember every Friday in June that year was terrible. I think as a whole 2008 was equally as poor though.
  9. It hasn’t even felt particularly mild, certainly not like 2019 for example. Just endless days of a cold wind and rain. If it’s going to be mild at least make it pleasant.
  10. We’ve had a lot more than I expected, started settling early afternoon and there’s a good few inches now. Hoping the roads are not too bad because I’m up early tomorrow. It stopped but has just started again!
  11. It was a very interesting month, from the freezing cold and snowy start to the unbelievable warm spell mid month. I remember sitting in a beer garden on the warmest day and it honestly felt like June. The nights were still cold and frosty though which brought the average down. The amount of sunshine sticks out too. The weather turned early in March though.
  12. The back end of March, cold weather just gets annoying in April and especially May.
